Before you started this stupid thread you should have thought to yourself -"what makes Sumerall the SAFEST and SMARTEST hire" - because he is neither of those things.

And I'm not bashing the dude.....

If you are going to start a topic, at least get the name right.

I dont think any of these smaller name coaches are the safe or smartest. You really are looking at potential. Can they recruit the state? Do they give a shite enough about recruiting to give everything you got to it? Can you give the guy good coordinators? Could that combination work?

Safest hire is Kiffin if you can get him. He will have us in the playoffs by year 3 at the latest. I just don’t know what you would get once in the playoffs.

Complete bs. He has run two different college programs and won alot. every person i have heard talk about him or thats coached with him say he is gonna be a star. Napier didnt have that type of reviews ever and only was head coach at one school ull.

Crazy that you would start a post and not even spell his name right.

Their winning percentage is about the same sumrall’s is a tad higher at Tulane/troy than Napier’s was at USL.

And Sumrall inherited what Fritz left him vs what Napier inherited from hudspeth…they’re a lot more a like than you think.

But to post information about a human being, I would think a basic fundamental of that would be to get the man’s name right, so we call are sure who you are even talking about…

No, Alex Golesh is. And he is his own OC......he has had great success with offense....top ten while OC at Tenn.
He is the right pick for LSU for a multitude of reasons.

Alex Golesh is the safest, least expensive and coach with the most upside. Just like Saban, who was defensvie guru, Golesh is the same on offense.
He could be our next Saban without the NFL itch.
