Said that they return QB who broke the school record and starting RB that was hurt for 11 games last year. They think TCU could win the Big 12. Can't wait for the opener.

They're entitled to their opinions, heck they may be correct. Guess we'll find out at the end of the month for the game and the end of the season for the Big 12 opinion.

on another note, saw Finebag picked the sleeper pick as LSU to win the SEC, but then said Miles is the unknown, cause you don't know what he will do.

This was a few weeks ago during media days.

Their defense will be the best in the big 12. Offensively they will be good but the loss of their presumed starter at RT will hurt them against LSU. We win that game but I wouldn't be surprised to see TCU win Big 12

The OL will be their biggest question mark. I think they are down to two returning starters. I agree that their defense will be nasty and possibly the fast we face all season. They use a 4-2-5 scheme. A huge advantage for LSU will be Landry at the in the slot. I think TCU will remain in there base defense versus 3 WR set. That will put a safety on Landry. Landry could have a huge, huge game.

While i do agree that Landry or OBJ in the slot will be an advantage for us, i think the biggest advantage against their 4-2-5 will be Copeland. Haven't heard much talk about it but the biggest weekness of a 4-2-5 is a team that can pound it up the middle and win the deep match ups on the outside. I like our chances at both.

I know this is a different level than what LSU plays at but when I was at McNeese we ran a 4-2-5. Our defense always ranked nationally in run defense. Wisconsin thought they were going to run the ball down TCU's throat in the Rose Bowl but couldn't. I'm not saying we can't run on them but the 4-2-5 puts 8 men in the box. Plus the speed of the two safeties on the outside can cause a lot of problems. I just don't think Cam is gonna take the same approach that we have take in recent years. Remember how we struggled to run at times against Towson. We have got to get the 8 or 9 men out of the box by spreading the defense out. I'm thinking we will see a lot more 3 WR sets and/or 2 TE, 2 WR sets.

Their O-line is thin and not very good and their defense is solid.

I like us by two scores.

I'm not saying that we will run less. Just saying that we will have to make the defense respect the pass so we can run more effectively.

No one in the media has high expectations for LSU this season. In every conversation they bring up all the losses on defense, breaking in a new OC, and new gameplan, the monster schedule we have in front of us.

In that regard yes, this year LSU is under the radar.

I'm thinking everyone will be high on TCU until they get drilled first game.

You are correct, sir. They think have to hype both teams to make more people watch. I don't know why. Everybody who watches them will be watching the game anyway.
