If you have a way to transport bikes, biking around campus is the best way to explore more of it. During COVID, we brought our bikes to campus at least once a week, and it was like a huge public park all to ourselves. Eats nearby:
The Chimes
Roul's
Louie's (a must breakfast)
Walk-Ons
Modesto Taco (near Walk Ons)
Torchy's (across Nicholson at Tiger Stadium)
Fat Boy Pizza (near Tochy's)
Our Mom's (Burbank and West Lee)

I recommend you spend several hours just walking around campus reminiscing and taking photos. You’ll probably be flooded with great memories from when you were a student. I think it would be pretty cool for you to share all of those memories with your boys. That’s something they’ll probably never forget.

Where is the bookstore if it’s not in the Union anymore?

Rooftop next to the old armory. There’s one spot where you might fall off and die, but it’s my favorite place on campus.

The Indian Mounds being fenced is such a travesty.

I'm old now, but I remember as a kid, just being amazed by the sheer size of Tiger Stadium walking around campus before a Saturday gameday. Everything just felt so big and out of this world when on campus and the stadium was the centerpiece.

LSU Military Museum is in Memorial Tower.

I presume the Union is open over the weekend unlike being closed for home football gamedays. Bookstore is now across Highland from the Union.

Absolutely go to the Chimes to eat.

Also, at the capitol building, you can go to the observation deck.

The Capitol observation deck is closed while they are renovating. You can still enter through the ground level and go up to the main chambers.

I don't know if you're staying Saturday night, but the Tiger 10K is on Sunday morning so roads and traffic might be affected a little bit.

Show them the underground network of tunnels that run all over campus. Kids love that idea. Can’t Go in them anymore.

That's funny my alum daughter and I walked through the quad a few days ago. The tunnel entrances are not welded shut anymore. I didn't have anything on me to try to pry one of the covers up but I am very curious. When I was a freshman back in the early 80's we explored every inch of the tunnels. There were also some warehouse-like big tunnels under the west side of the stadium. One of the flying tiger planes was taken apart and stored in there.

In the late 70’s these were wide open an of course became a favorite place to smoke weed. I’d bet 25% of the student body went through them at some point!

The Memorial Tower is where the military museum is located. Open 10-3. Highly recommend it.

Go to the bookstore…it’s not in the Union any longer.

Baseball stadium is always open and you can get down to field as long as practice is not going on.

Did this not too long ago with my 3yr old son on a random Tuesday he was out of school. Walked right in, went on the field, even rode his little tiger powerwheels I brought, around the inside. Have some great photos and memories with my boy at the place I love the most.

Take them to the Marucci bat company for a tour of the bat production facility. They should enjoy that.
