Look I love LSU football as much as anyone, but there are more important things for most people (even students) than spending hours inside of a hot arse stadium watching a meaningless half of backups.

If it's a one-score SEC game in the 4th quarter and the students aren't there, let me know if you think we have a problem.

I agree though that someone needs to see why these kids leave like that now.

Won’t really need a deep study on this one.

Cheap booze. After parties. Potential hook up.

You know, the same thing that’s motivated young people for generations.

This is such a weird thing to complain about during a blowout of a nonconference opponent. The only time I see it as an issue is if LSU is playing a ranked conference team and it’s a close game and the students are still leaving in mass.

Tiger Stadium isn’t great every game anymore and that’s a trend that matches every school across the country but it is still the best place for a big game in the country.

The student section is a little over 10,000 I think...and LSU's enrollment isn't even 30,000. So the student section is 30-35% of the entire student enrollment.

As of about 5 years ago it was just under 15,000. So almost 50% of total enrollment. So yes, tickets are plentiful for students, but it will still be packed for the big games so they can all make sure to have it on their Snapchat story.

I do feel for the backups that are finally getting playing time, only to do so in a half empty stadium. Those kids are still Tigers and deserve the best our fans have to offer.

On the flip side, you can’t make folks stay for something they don’t care about.

Student section was 95% empty at start of 3rd. The rest of the stadium was much better than that well into the 4th.

That's BS. the stadium was almost as empty as the student section by the end of the 3rd. I left with 11 minutes left in the game, and was in a traffic jam as if the game had ended already.

Agreed. I don’t see any reason to get worked up about it after a complete blowout victory. Students like to go out after games. They’d rather go have fun than watch Myles Brennan chase bad snaps for another hour, and I don’t really blame them. Probably 50+% of the non-student seats were empty halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Isn’t Bama currently implementing some sort of system to track student attendance that’s very similar to what you described?

Dlinemen having to signal for the south end zone to make noise should be of greater concern for you than students leaving early.

Member when the south end zone went a whole decade having at least one goal line stand a year to preserve a win. I member.

Y’all wring your hands too much about this shite. People have better things to do than sweat their asses off to watch LSU’s backups run out the clock vs GA Southern.

So, you're a student...

The yellow chair backs stand out when the stands are empty and that’s not in the student section.

I think having good wifi, good cell service and an exciting offense will be a big help in keeping students at the game.

The offense was exciting and I had no problems with cell service. Didn't seem to matter.

That’s because there were 650 people in the stands.

Why not let students without tickets in once the ones who had tickets leave?

Do you think there would be a big line of kids outside the stadium wanting to get in to watch the 2nd half last night?
