One of the main reasons I gave up my season tickets.

I agree. I think the stadium should erupt into "L-S-U" when they start cheering it. Or they should not play the song.

You already subject them to being surrounded by drunks and people who smell like the devils lettuce not to mention all the people who vape in the stadium. Poor you
bingo. learn to DWI. i had too. have 2 girls myself. They have seen and heard it all. Learn how to parent and explain things or just do not go.
Real simple.

Agree.............this is a huge embarrassment to LSU and the fan base.

Honestly, yes.
There are levels, and STTDB is arguably the trashiest recurring chant in all of organized sports, likely by a considerable margin.

Hard to break a damn 20 year tradition. I don’t like it but I also don’t mind it.
I first heard it in 2009.

but you have 30 and 40 year old losers in the south EZ saying it through their Bud Light Lime intoxicated breath.
So tailgating and getting plastered all day in front of kids and then drinking more at the game and having people throw up in the stands and scream obscenities is fine but you draw the line at saying dick. Got it.
Such hypocrisy in this thread it’s hilarious! Lol dorks

That's because people with a modicum of class don't go around in mixed company shouting about "sucking dick". Profanity at football games is commonplace. It is what it is and has been the case for a LONG time. But the vulgarity of the chant is a different thing altogether
This.
Is a trashy bridge too far. I’ve always hated it.

“Daddy what’s sucking dick?” Oh lawd

I can explain profanity to my kids however trying to explain sucking a cock to a kid is horrifying.

It’s like 15% funny 85% disgusting but it’s never going away so I mean we just have to embrace it I guess

Or they should not play the song.
It’s now any song with a beat.
And in the case of some real mouth breathers in my section last weekend, even when no song is playing at all.

Our administration is a bitch and probably should STTDB for not letting us play neck.
The entirety of the stadium at Alabama games say:
“frick Auburn, and LSU, and Tennessee too.”
So any lie the administration says that they would get in trouble is just that. Bama says frick to Dixieland delight every single home game and there are no repercussions.

Agreed. One of the main reasons I stopped bringing my kids to the games.
IMO there's a big difference between seeing/hearing some drunks being idiots vs seeing/hearing a large portion of the crowd yelling STTDB. Its "they" are trashy vs "we" are trashy.

Strongly disagree. Even as a 33 year old, this is what makes college football great.
This fanbase has arguably more passion than any college in the country and proves that by doing stuff like this.
I would argue the students, and fans in general, had more passion back when I was at LSU in the late 1970s and 1980s. And they were not nearly as profane as today’s students (and adults). The experience was superior back then and the stadium didn’t empty early.

This is lunacy how some of y’all parent your children. The cheer is maybe once a game for 1 minute. But you’ll spend hours and hours perhaps the whole day surrounding your kids next to drunks.
Do y’all read the Bible to your children? Do y’all explain Genesis 19:36 about drinking?
Lol hypocrites!

And the LSU administration doesn’t need to lie about there being repercussions. All they have to do is say it’s embarrassing and anyone who participates in it is a trashball.
