Right. Like playing "Set it Off" by Boosie and encouraging more loud synchronized profanity. The irony of which is playing that during an LED light show with light-up wristbands that appeals to children.
Schools (LSU and others) have been playing songs that contain profanity for forever.

They're free to cater the product to who they want, but it's extremely short-sighted to make the experience less family-friendly.
Legit question, what do you think the solution is? Like what do you want LSU to do to make the environment for family friendly? Do you want them to add playgrounds like they did at Alex Box?

Admittedly, I have behaved with hypocrisy here.
Class and poise are important to me. Despise classless behavior by LSU fans. Most don’t have a degree from LSU, yet those of us who do (speaking for myself) know such qualities hurt, not help, the brand. It matters.
Meanwhile, I love Neck and occasional STTDB shock moments. But it is absolutely low class trash.

"But for the big games, the gloves come off. That is what makes tiger stadium, tiger stadium."
No. It doesn't. Our 100 yr old Tiger Stadium was Tiger Stadium long before STTDB. This needs to die before someone says STTDB is old and tired. We need to kick this up a notch.

I mean the easiest and cheapest thing would be to not play songs filled with profanity. This is something that should have been addressed years ago before playing "b*tch im from Louisiana" on every kickoff.
They also should have nipped STTDB in the bud years ago when it started in smalls group of people in the student section. Now it's become a huge national and social media attention-grabber which encourages people to do it even more.

That's fair, I guess I can see that but I go back to my childhood. When I watched "Major League" or whatever rated R movie. My parents would acknowledge profanity and just make it be known that you can't say that stuff as a kid. I'm doing the same for my son with STTDB, not okay to say now for a kid but lets not act like its the end of the world.
There is a difference between common profanity and chanting about "sucking dick". For example, the crowd chanting "bullshite" after a bad call has long been a reaction heard in many stadiums, including LSU. While not exactly "classy", it was at least a response appropriate to the situation. And you never saw the type of backlash to that chant that you have with this
The reason is very simple. It's because "sucking dick" has nothing to do with a football game...in any context. It's not a visceral reaction in the moment. The chant is simply being vulgar for the sake of being vulgar. Nothing more. And it reflects poorly on the university to anyone with even the slightest bit of class and self-respect.

Bro, Boosie gets blasted throughout the stadium. Meanwhile in Neyland they play Morgan Wallen.
Not sure Morgan Wallen is less trashy. I was thinking give the students a full version of Set it Off as a trade for STTDB.

I agree.
What bothers me more is the great fight song we can’t play anymore because the kids like to shout “a$$&@le a$$&$le”. And that foolishness started at the basketball games when I was a student.

That's because people with a modicum of class don't go around in mixed company shouting about "sucking dick".
There's nothing 'classy' about a fricking football game. If you want class, go to the ballet.
"What's he saying, Daddy?"

Every school does this and has done this for a long time.

But they didn't, so what to you suggest they do now?

That's Tiger Rag. I thought they started playing that again years ago?

STTDB is an expression, just like "bullshite." You are taking the words of STTDB and interpreting them differently than the words of "bullshite." At least be consistent. A bull's shite also has nothing to do with football either. If the students said "Eat shite!" would that be ok? Or is it not ok because the act of eating feces has nothing to do with football?

You are correct. But even back then fans were yelling, cussing, and shaking the busses of opposing teams. Also encouraging kids to do the same.
