You want to ignore stats, then just watch the fricking games and you can see how bad the offense has looked. No one needs to see stats skewed one way or another. Just watch the product that has been on the field this year, especially the past three weeks, and you can clearly see that the offense has some serious problems!

I give Florida very little credit for the win yesterday. Other teams they have played have been able to score on them and I think in weeks to come, you will see Florida lose to UGA, SC, and maybe even other games.

Agreed! Thus a lack of total yards per game, too. That's my point!

That much of our "scoring" last year was actually greatly assisted by defense and special teams?

Miles got scared for his job after 08. He's not going to let a 20 something kid cost him 4 mil a year. He's been playing not to lose ever since. If he can do what he's doing and win 9-10 games a year he won't get fired. The buck has to stop some where. This is his offense, his players. He recruited them and is coaching them. Ultimately it is his responsibility. Injuries are something out of his control. But you have to adjust your offense and play calling to put your guys in a position to suceed. He's not doing that.

The headset malfunction is a lame excuse.

If Miles headset wasn't working, wouldn't this be a plus for the offense?

bullfrickingshit... I will stop blaming the offense when we can complete 3-4 passes in a row without it looking so painstakingly difficult.

You are dumber than Miles!!! Our offense sucks- Miles is the Head Coach and he recruited the players WR dropping the balls and OL who can't cut it. Then, he has a bad OL coach up in the press box who is our OC??? Remember I d=said he sucks as an OL coach yet he is again our OC this year.... Jeez you and Miles :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

All that being said, if Beckham doesn't fumble the long pass, we still might win yesterday.
So Les, hire a WR coach that can teach ball security after the catch, (And route running, blocking and how to catch a football) instead of yet another one only competent as a recruiter.

I'll explain....

Do you folks realize Miles and Co. have averaged 32.6 points per game this year? And, 37.6 last year against one of the all time toughest schedules! 29.5 in 2010. The problem this year isn't Miles or the play calling. The problem is players not executing the plays at crucial times in the game or on critical third downs...it's as simple as that. Miles' LSU teams have averaged 30+ points per game under Miles. Did you know LSU (Miles and Co) ranked #2 in average scoring margin last year? They were ranked #4 this year until yesterday.

We are averaging 393 (more than he ever averaged at OSU!) yards per game this year, even without the players properly executing plays. Did you know that LSU averaged 439.5 per game when we won the MNC in 2007?

Get off of Miles and get on the WR's that have bricks for hands and the inability to get open in space. Mett is a six game starter...what are you people expecting from him at this point? Six games!! He's put the ball in player's hands and they don't take care of the ball. And, our OLine has been decimated by injuries this year. Our Oline issues are problem NUMBER ONE and, unfortunately, injuries can't be coached up.

LSU scoring since Miles arrived:
2004 28.7
2005 29.9
2006 33.7
2007 38.6
2008 30.1
2009 24.8
2010 29.5
2011 37.6

Average 31.61 points per game as LSU's head coach!

THE PROBLEM ISN'T MILES OR HIS OFFENSE.

In 2 SEC games, we are averaging 9 points a game.

9 points a game.

9 points a game.

9 points a game.

Yes, don't blame Les at all.

Who's fault is it that we have Greg Studrawa as an Offensive Coordinator? How many Offensive Line coaches turned play callers do you know that have been successful? Second and goal on the 3 yard line and we roll Mettenberger to the right. Third and goal and we try some rub it in your face Tebow jump play that didn't work. We can't even execute our regular plays, why would you call that? Our offense has struggled for years with Crowton and now Studrawa. LSU is too big of a program to not have an Offensive mastermind.

I hope you realize that our offense wasn't scoring last year. Those numbers go to Special Teams and Defense. Miles needs to clean out the Offensive side of the ball at year's end. Before you try to dazzle everyone with your scoring stats, provide some perspective of what the Offensive Unit actually did.

LSU Total Offense Rank in the SEC:
2007 - 4th Who Cares we are National Champs!!
2008 - 5th So What, just won the crystal
2009 - 12th Ouch
2010 - 11th Hmmmm, are we getting better??
2011 - 6th - No wonder we didn't win
2012 - Predicted 14th

Defense and Special Teams scores shouldn't be included in total scoring IMO. Get your head out of the sand. Total yds by the offense has not been good for a while and not getting better anytime soon!!

Our offense is predictable, and not being excuted worth a crap. blame the players if you want, but it is the coaches who recruited them, and who teach them. All blame ultimately falls on Miles. That is why he makes a butt pile of money. When the defense did crappy, he got the blame, and guess what, he fixed it and hired the Chief. Lets see if he can fix this, because you cannot keep blaming bad quarterbacks. This is Miles fault, plain and simple

Would you care to see how many times the defense and special teams scored last year? Or how many times we got the ball on the plus 50 last year? Or how about 1 touchdown against SEC defenses in the past 3 games?
