Brennon didnt lose the game the defense lost the game

He literally lost the game by throwing an interception. Brennan left the D on the field for 20 minutes in the first half because he couldn’t move the chains. Despite the D being short handed and inexperienced in the secondary still dialed up 4 turnovers, 5 sacks, attentional grounding, and multiple batted balls which are just as good as sacks or tackles for a loss.

There is no reason why LSU shouldn’t have scored on every possession in the first half. WRs were wide open. It was maddening.

To blame the loss on 1 player is laughable.

Probably shouldn’t have played press man to man then...

It’s all you practiced all week leading up to game. Your best guy goes out 12 hrs before kickoff. You already thin at the position. You’re fricked either way. You can’t just draw up zone with a stick in the dirt for everyone who’s already playing out of position. Good god people

This makes me so angry that we didn’t even think to practice zone against this offense.

Go watch the UW-WSU games. UW owns them on defense by playing zone.

Because human beings aren’t perfect. That’s why.

The defense gave up an SEC record in passing yards and allowed damn near 10 yards an attempt. This was a total team loss, except MAYBE, the defensive front 7

Has there ever been a thinner, more inexperienced position group in the first game?

The question is why?

They would have eaten up the zone as well.

It would've been worse. Man to man is quite simple compared to zone. If they couldn't figure out how to switch and pass off crossing receivers, there's no way in hell they'll cover the correct area in zone.

Here is my question for the coaches, why not cross train so you don't look like complete shite because you have to shuffle guys?

What if flott had got injured and was out instead of stingley? Ward would still play nickle no?

True but his arm was hit because he hesitated a half second before throwing.

McMath was already wide open. Had Myles pulled the trigger s split second earlier it would have been a TD but he didn’t.

He doesn’t get a pass on the int because ultimately it was his indecision that caused it.

So losing one player in the DBs led to all of this? That makes absolutely no sense. If we lost multiple of our planned players fine; but we lost one in Stingley.

This is what I'm saying the dbs would have to shuffle no matter which starter was out and be "out of position" than what they practiced. That's frightening.

bullshite... if the coaches would have prepared this summer, the analytics showed the best way to combat the air raid was rush 3 and drop 8 in coverage to take away all the crossing routes and keep everything in front of you and make sound tackles. This is how UW beat WSU the last several years.
If you play straight man, your chasing receivers all over which is why they had 600yds passing

I saw it before we played because I was searching games where Leach’s offense struggled. Rush three drop 8... however, it seems that someone else never found that video lol
