And your assessment of his motivations were based on….

His last 2 years. Hours of listening to his father. His decision not to go to the combine. General tea leaves.

Why are you so upset that I think DSJ is a talented football player that would get paid without playing football if possible? Is that even a bad thing in your opinion?

This. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills sometimes. He is literally recovering from lisfranc surgery and he's a cornerback.

There's a lot of stress on the feet with that position and it makes sense to wait until he's more than 100% before trotting himself out there for the dog and pony show

He's skipping the combine to recover from surgery. And he's still doing his Pro Day which is basically a combine 2.0. I don't see why you think this is a big deal.

It is the dream of every person in the world to get paid without doing anything. Why are you even bringing this up?

There's red flags but I certainly don't wish ill will on Stingley.

Why would he skip the combine completely?

He’s not skipping it. He’s just not working out but that doesn’t fit the quitter narrative. Burrow didn’t workout either.

The rams are skipping the combine as a team. There’s so much data and support staff now that the combine isn’t that relevant and more of just a TV show now.

Perhaps he's being influenced by his agent? It sounds like some players still aren't planning to participate even after the NFL loosened some of the bubble rules after there was widespread rebellion.

I don’t think there is one player that has been a bigger disappointment

I don't see how skipping the combine plays into that.

THIS makes sense. Criticism of Stingley doesn't, IMO.

Absolute fricking stud that dominated on an island in our national championship year is the biggest disappointment ever.

One year wonder that looked like he regressed every year after his 15-0 freshman year. Only played in 10 games over his last 2 years after playing in 15 as a freshman.

His LSU career kind of reminds me of Justin Vincent without the pro hype.

Hester Carries,

When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.

I have to admit, however, it is entertaining to watch you keep shoveling it.

I that’s a smart move on his part.
He hasn’t played in a game for a long time, and his best tape is over two years old. He needs to test through the roof to have any chance of getting picked in the top ten; thus the need to be at his very best and in a familiar environment that traditionally has been a fast track. Smart move to test at LSU when he’s more ready.

It definitely is. Do you know anyone that would not want to have money deposited into their account for doing nothing that would allow them to do whatever in life that they felt like doing?

Aren’t a shite ton of college athletes boycotting the combine this year due to the dumbass Covid restrictions?

True! He also played his entire sophomore season with a bad ankle and it hampered his play. Nobody gives home credit for playing hurt all year. Then they call him a sellout when he misses the season because he needed surgery.

F’ing ignorant fans who eat their own.

Exactly.

And its the same group of fans who spent all season basking in the glory of Chase's great rookie season. A guy who LITERALLY decided not to play in 2020 despite being fully healthy.

All this over fact that he is skipping the combine

Who gives a shite if he skips the combine? Somehow I'm sure the teams interested in drafting him will be able to get a full evaluation

Yeah the ratio of my initial post show how wrong and unpopular my take is.
