In a Les Miles offense a few hundred receiving yards would make him the leading receiver.

We had two 1000 yard receivers in one season under Les…

I always thought it was fun watching Deion Sanders on offense.

That one year being the only year Les had any receiver get over 1000 yards. An NFL QB, NFL rb, and 2 great NFL wide receivers.

imo, he hasn't shown enough as a punt returner for me to feel that he brings anything that several other WR could bring, to be worth the risk.

If this is about a promise made or upping his profile for Heisman, NIL, etc, so be it. But no excuses from O if he gets hurt.

I wouldn't necessarily say he isn't better. Most people on this board thinks he was just the #1 DB in his highschool class, he also played a top of WR in highschool and would have easily been a 5* WR coming out of highschool if he chose to.

#37 Thomas Henry Casanova III played DB and RB in 1969 and 1970!

He also returned Kicks and Punts. 3-Way Player! 3× All-American! The year he got injured was 1971 when he primarily played D.

EVERYONE PUNTS AWAY FROM OR SKY BALLS PUNTS INTENDED FOR DEREK STINGLEY JR. You can't return a punt if every time you chose to not call a fair catch, you are 2/10s of a second from being a shite stain on the turf...

And it was also one of his first returns. They gave him space. Didn't expect his speed and he killed him for it. STINGLEY almost did the exact same thing on one of his first returns, and since then no one gives him room to fart.

It feels like 3/4 of stingleys interceptions are prying the ball deadass out of the receivers hands while calling them a little bitch lolol. I would love to see that man win some 50/50**** balls.

If he wins the Heisman Trophy the Honey Badger will donate 1 million to LSU. So they have a million reasons to let him play offense.

To be fair we fair catched almost everything in 2019 because we were scoring a TD in under 2 minutes whether we were on the 25 or the 50.

And a 1000 yard rusher and a 3000 yard passer...at the time it was the only team in SEC history to accomplish that.

A big difference catching a football from someone hand as opposed to someone's foot.

He would have been a 5 Star receiver coming out of high school.

He can handle playing receiver. He is too good not to give him some snaps.

All Honey Badger was missing was offensive numbers. He still should have gotten the Heisman, but a few hundred died yards receiving and a couple TDs would have gotten it done i think.

ESPN was all in on Mathieu. All he needed was to not get suspended and the Heisman was his.

Yes, but that was Tommy Casanova. Stingley isn't Casanova, no matter how much people want him to be.

He had opportunities, just looked like he was hesitant to take off and return it.

I see this and feel like some of you were watching completely different games than me. Hesitant? If anything, I thought Stingley looked like he was being too aggressive, trying to return some that should have been fair catches.

No, he hasn’t broken one for a TD yet. But he’s been scary enough that opposing teams sure don’t seem to want to kick it to him.

This is a waste; he is a DB and will be a DB in the NFL. He has not impressed me with his punt returns. Stay on defense please.
