Could you hear what coaches were saying to the officials on the sideline, or at halftime? I doubt it. For all we know, they were yelling on every defensive play for a call but just weren't getting it very often. Bad take

this one leapt off the screen at me too, Evans is yanked off his feet to free the WR for a huge gain that State then scored on

If they were determined to say it was an incomplete pass (bullshite) then that play was still grounding

No chance that was grounding. They made the right call. his arm was moving forward. By rule that is a pass, and it was clearly unintentional, therefore it could not be INTENTIONAL grounding.

I was wrong that happened later in that drive. But this was a big pass play.

It got to the point where I questioned whether I missed a change to the holding rules that would now allow a hook or tackle to the ground on an LSU Defensive edge rusher only?

It seemed as though EVERY play 1 or 2 of our D-Line guys were being held so blatantly that it became kind of humorous that it was literally NEVER CALLED!

The only positive I see out of that pic is it speaks to how good this cat is. That happened to him a lot. He can't be blocked. So the oline did what they had to do. And got away with it a lot.

What horseshite bro. Costello INTENTIONALLY began the forward motion of throwing the ball. He then changed his mind and tried to hold up, but lost grip on the ball. Once he INTENTIONALLY began the forward motion, by rule it is a forward pass. Since Costello was in the tackle box, and the ball did not reach the line of scrimmage, it should have been flagged. PERIOD.

Where is the official in that play?
That's probably 1 problem
Our ends got held at least 3 times, where it was blatant

The hold on the tunnel screen in the 1st quarter was worse.

It was obvious their coaches told the RT at halftime to hold Ali on every play and dare the refs to call it. So he did, and they didn’t. And most of them were wide out in the open, blatant grabs and clothesline’s like this. The neck tackles even kept his from batting down passes like he did several times in the first half

The biggest play of the game that hurt LSU the most was Brennan’s first interception. McMath was behind the defense by himself and when the pass was attempted his arm was hit causing the pass to be short and then intercepted. Miss.St scored a touchdown off that possession, that 14 point swing was a killer.
