This team has a lot of shortcomings in terms of talent. The most glaring is that we still do not have a quality point guard. We do not any quality depth coming off the bench. This team has overachieved and might continue to do so. We will lose to Texas in the SEC tournament; I can see us winning two games in the NCAA's. Could we get really hot and go farther; it's possible.

Yall are crazy. I’ve watched the top 8 and it’s fairly wide open right now.

Every time I think the LSU girls aren’t good I simply watch other top programs and realize it’s more or less the product.

If flauje is healthy the should make a nice run

They have the potential to make it to the Final Four, if the team is in good enough shape to play in the tournament.

WTF? How can you possibly say that, at this point? We haven’t even started the SEC Tourney, or the NCAA Tourney. We’re not the best team in the country, but we’ve got a good shot at winning this thing.

Scrappy little team, I like their chances to advance quite well....

OP [Still think WBB reaches elite 8 this year] was about the final season outcome, so I figured you were saying our entire season was a choke job.

I think so, but winning a title with this team was always a stretch.

It's missed lay ups, can't make FTs and aren't a good shooting team in general with limited depth past their top 4 players. Even Williams is hot or cold, slow on her feet and limited D. Their bags in Wolfberger and Del Rosio are soft and slow.
It's 3 vs 5 most games and that's why they run out of gas late in a close game.

Feel good story today with Poa an family, but she is a liability this year. It’s sad because if she had improved from last year she would be a solid contributor.

Sheppard and Gilbert are fine off the bench.

LSUs issue come down to the starting PG and the starting “center” in Sa’Myah. PG is never a threat to score, turnover machine, and just average defensively between Poa/SDW. SaMyah is not a 5 and is getting taking advantage of by most other teams inside. We have zero rim protection so other bigs score at will.

This team is as good as the big 3 are. LSU is certainly good enough to get to an elite 8 but can get bounced earlier than expected with those flaws I mentioned. The roster construction was just flat out not good unfortunately. I think they’ll be much better next year but we are what we are this season

Agree with everything Tigerbait357 said but the great thing about basketball is 3 superstars is plenty enough to get you to the championship. They are just going to have all three play well in the tournament. They do could make it to final 4. If not could get bounced in sweet 16.

I can’t believe with Mulkey as our coach that our lack of a true pg will be downfall for the second year in a row.
We need a big bodied 5 that can defend. Smith is a good player, but too light to guard these big heavy post girls.
Also, it shocked me that without Johnson, ole miss was so much more athletic than we were.
I hope Sheppard starts seeing more playing time instead of Poa and Wilson. She is a good defender and brings some energy to the court.

This is maybe just me but I wouldn’t mind seeing Sheppard start next to MK and Flaujae. I really don’t see anything Poa and SDW are doing that she can’t.

SDW was a better offensive player before she got to LSU. I dunno what’s happened to her?

Without Flau Jae, we may well NOT get past Alabama Friday night. Texas we would get on Saturday.
