Clemson gave their talented true freshman time in the pocket. For a few years now, LSU has been unable to block the Tide. LSU's skill position players are good enough to compete, but the offensive line has to do better.
Ensminger is part of the problem, but if you can't block the other guys, no scheme will score you a ton of points.

Missed field goal and INT in end zone.
Y’all make it sound like we didn’t cross the 50.
We lost. It wasn’t close. But we played them better than anybody else but Clemson.
Just be happy that they are number 2. The recruitment train must be derailed.

Posts like this may be more embarrassing than the actual loss itself. How far this program has fallen to claim 29-0 moral victories.

What part of:
Says moral victory to you moron?!
But: “How far this program has fallen...”
10 wins
Victory in New Year’s Day Bowl
Ranked #6
2nd highest ranked SEC team
Top 5 recruiting class
Why don’t you negatigers geaux beat your wives because they are not blemish free.
I’m smiling this morning because of the above 5 things and because Nick is sucking it this morning despite shutting out LSU.

So mad. Shouldn't you be lighting your O candle about this time of the morning?

LSU is Alabama's Superbowl (to that point of each season), and they have two weeks to prepare.

I believe it was at the half of the Bama/OU game that Herbstreit made the comment that most teams that play Bama have lost before the game is played because they play not to lose. You have to play them aggressively or Bama will over power you.
That has been evident for the last 7 years. Our gameplan has been to play conservative and not make mistakes and hope to pull it out in the end. The only exceptions were the 2012 game when Mett came out throwing and 2017 when Canada put together a decent gameplan, but we failed to execute on some critical plays.
In 2019 if O and E choose the conservative route we will lose. They need to say frick it and commit to win or go down swinging. I'd rather we open up the playbook and lose by 30 than play conservative and lose by 10. Bama shut down Clemson's run game except for one late run by Etienne. It was the spread and deep, back shoulder throws and plays challenging their DBs that won the game.

Physically outmatched is a very strong phrase.. Clemson Oline just held their blocks for their great QB and receivers to make plays..gotta have a good Oline
Bingo! That's the difference.

Ooooh, you got me now with that detailed, well stated, deep, and intelligent come back.
You sir are an adolescent girl who confuses negativity and feigned detachment with sophistication and intelligence.

It amazes you?
They put up 44 points because they have better players in the trenches, a better RB, better WRs, better QB and here’s the kicker, way better coaches. Still, we should have been able to score something.
To get blanked at home and not even compete on the offensive side says a lot about our coaching staff.
Not sure how many times people need to be “amazed” before they see the big picture.
You saw how many times Clemson ran the ball right up the middle on 1st down and 2nd down?
That’s what we do on offense. We run these slow uncreative plays over and over as if they’re eventually going to work.
It’s not what supporters want to hear, but they know it’s the truth.

Nah I’m good, I’ll just point out facts to the OP’s thread to support my opinion.
You shouldn’t take it so hard.

I think LSU gets psyched out because it's bama and they lose focus!
Part of it, no doubt. Not sure if it is focus or just out-psyched due to hype. CEO needs to take it as a game. NOT 'all of LA on our shoulders', etc. You don't hear Kirby talk that way at UGA. Prep and play the darn game. Our roster is littered with future NFL talent. Prepare, coach, and execute. Leave all the emotional hype at home.

Clemson's OLine are the unsung heroes of that game. They made Bama's DLine look pretty average, and that's not easy.
LSU was playing a lot of underclassmen on the OLine this year and that's why LSU couldn't move the ball on Bama, we were severely outmatched in the trenches.

Y'all need to stop with this oline talent shite. Somebody posted it. The recruiting rankings for LSU and Clemson's offense offensive lines are virtually the identical.
I don't know why you all refuse to admit it and keep trying to blame the offensive lineman for LSU's offensive woes. There hasn't been a more perfect situation set up to display the ineptitude of an offensive coordinator then when he coaches one year and scores 0 points on Alabama, then the next year you get a new offense of coordinator and LSU scores 10 on Alabama, then the following year you rehire the guy from the previous year and he gets a 0 points on Alabama again.
0 Guy 1
10 Guy 2
0 Guy 1
Is it really that difficult to see what the problem is?

Lawrence is special QB
A QB is on as good as the OL allows him to be. Give a qb time, and not a lot of pressure, he'll find open people.
I agree he is a special QB, he's very very good.

we had the sassiest game plan that night. I understand the lame 2016 plan, but that was embarrassingly how bad we looked. Never tried one thing different.

Let’s be honest, CEO is not on any of those coaches levels. I’m not sure why he’s even in the discussion.
People want to believe he is, or can be, but he’s not. It’s pretty simple.
Also, Steve E is definitely not the answer. He’s just not creative enough or good enough to compete with Bama.
This is not hating or being negative, it’s just telling the truth.
What do we do about it? Nothing. It’s not really in our hands.
We root for LSU and hope we win.
