Alright guys assuming we WILL have a football seasons this year cause frick the doubters, what do you think the depth chart will look like this season at DL. We are stacked with talent and a lot of upperclassman. I’m really interested to see how this plays out.

Here’s a list of guys by class:
Neil Farrell 92 SR
Glenn Logan 97 SR
Andre Anthony 46 SR
Travez Moore 49 SR
Justin Thomas 93 RS JR (listed on LSU roster as JR still so I assume he got redshirt for last season)
TK McLendon 84 RS JR
Soni Fonua 53 RS JR
Tyler Shelvin 72 JR
Ali Gaye 52 JR
Jarell Cherry 55 RS SO
Nelson Jenkins RS SO 47
Siaki Ika 62 SO
Desmond Little 59 RS FR
Ray Parker 85 RS FR
Jaquelin Roy FR*
Eric Taylor FR
Jacobian Gulliory FR*
BJ Ojulari 8 FR*
* denotes top100 player in class via 247

I’m going to guess the depth chart will look like this:
1st
SDE: Neil Ferrell SR
3DT: Glen Logan SR
1DT: Tyler Shelvin JR
WDE: TK McLendon RS JR

2nd
SDE:Justin Thomas RS JR
3DT: Nelson Jenkins RS SO
1DT: Siaki Ika SO
WDE:Andre Anthony SR

3rd
SDE: Ali Gaye JR /Soni Fonua /RS JR/Jarell Cherry RS SO
3DT: Jacquelin Roy FR/Eric Taylor FR
1DT: Jacobian Gulliory FR
WDE: Travez Moore SR/ BJ Ojulari FR/Desmond Little RS FR/Ray Parker RS FR

What do y’all think the depth chart will look like?

Yes otherwise I’d have Justin Thomas starting and TK 2nd

I am reading that list and shaking my head in disbelief. Just two short years ago, LSU could barely put actual D-linemen on the field for a host of reasons. We have depth now. Kudos to the coaches for getting that done.

The move to the 4-3 benefits guys like Andre Anthony, Travez Moore, Jarrell Cherry, and to a lesser extent Justin Thomas. Those guys are true 4-3 Ends who have been stuck playing out of position since they’ve been here. Excited to see those guys get a chance and make the most of it.

We're loaded everywhere. This LSU club will not be out manned by any team in the nation. If the ball bounces right I predict that 15 will be in the running for the Heisman.

Ferrel is a TD.

Doesn’t move like a DE

I don't know what the depth chart will look like but we're really deep and talented across the board. This group should be fresh for 4 full quarters in every game, even if we get nicked up a bit along the way.

Justin Thomas is a starter. He is the best pass rusher on the team; just has to get his weight down a little bit. Watch his spin move next season.

Neil Farrell, Glen Logan, Jaquelin Roy, Nelson Jenkins, and Eric Taylor will all be three tech defensive tackles. With Tyler Shelvin, Apu Ika, and Jacobian Guillory being one tech defensive tackles.

I don't foresee Neil Farrel or Glen Logan playing defensive end.

Strongside defensive ends will probably be players Justin Thomas, TK McClendon, Jarrell Cherry, Soni Fonua, and Ali Gaye

Weakside defensive ends will probably be Andre Anthony, Travis Moore, Ray Parker, Desmond Little, BJ Ojulari, and Phillip Webb.

Of course, they can always shift the players around depending on situations and depending on if they want to go with a heavier lineup or with a lighter lineup.

How do you know? As Ed O has been bragging about TK McClendon since midseason in 2019. Says he weighs over 270 pounds and can run a better than a 4.8 forty. It sounds to me like he is a perfect strong-side defensive end.

I think Ojulari and Webb will both be studs. Maybe Webb or both plays outside LB this year and used to rush the QB from different angles and stunts
