Jacoby and his father approached the recruitment process knowing that he'll be playing on Sundays, so they compared the NFL success of players from LSU and Alabama. Jamal Adams, Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, and other LSU DBs with success in the NFL made a great impression on Jacoby while really no Alabama DBs have had sustained success in the NFL, which was a big deal to them.
2 things - Landon Collins disagrees and Jamal really hasn't had any success yet at the NFL level, just saying. I know he looks like a natural, but facts are facts.

Uuuuhhhhh I could name several bama dbs who have had NFL success recently.

Us Houston Texans fans will give any team Kareem Jackson. He is HORRIBLE and has cost us so many games, but hey he was a high draft choice because Saban is a defensive DB god.

Saban does give good instructions being a former DB himself at one time, musta been in the 1800's as small as he is. Lol But so does Corey Raymomd who was also a former DB, I would have to give the nod to Raymond as of now with the success that he's had at LSU.

Bama had a CB drafted by the Jets I think in the 1st round that was a former All American that was garbage and worse than Jackson, I forget his name. I think he's out of football now, so don't feel too bad.

Mark Barron has done pretty well. Although he is now a LB.

Oh no. Nick Saban's players do not have as much success in the NFL as LSU players. But I thought he was the best defensive mind out there!
Nobody said Saban is better than NFL defensive minds. Also, Saban has little to do with their NFL sustainability.

Most importantly, Aranda is the top defensive mind in college football.

Why do LSU fans troll their own? You types should be shut down. Every other post if not every post I see from the same people, you're one, is an attempt to piss people off or get them off topic. LSU fans siding with Bama is pathetic.

It's fine to have you're own opinion but when it's consistently pro Bama, or to take a shot at LSU, then it's just immature. The same people always chime in just to start some shite.

That's what shouldn't be accepted in here. The constant LSU bashing just tells me you have a hatred for LSU. If you hate LSU then what is your real purpose here?

With the right right coaching staff X's and O's to the best recruiters at LSU. You keep your talent in-state and fill your roster with the best of Texas and Florida players LSU will be a dynasty team

I don't really see it as opposing LSU, but some people just have a rational view of real life and don't view everything with ridiculous purple and gold glasses.

Yes we get it you're the 4th person to harp about Landon Collins. Hes a good player, but that is about it. LSU has quite a few very talented defensive backs and two more were just drafted in the first round that will have a successful career.

So he knows he's going to play safety in the NFL yet is wasting a year of development playing WR?

He will be fine. I think he switches back after this season. Adoree played both ways.

Good opportunity to get him on the field sooner.

Many believe he's best suited at safety to maximize his talents.

I prefer it.. but happy to see him play.

I appreciate the team player mentality, but that's a strange plan. Can't think of a time a team purposely changed a players position mid-career.

I went to high school with his dad. His dad is a real class act. We were good friends, just grew apart as we got older. Also his dad was a great athlete in his own right. A Louisiana state champion in the high jump.
