I thought a big reason for why he was getting ousted was because the donors do not like him. 
I'm sure it is just a title with no real duties to keep the PR hit to a minimum though. Just seems like they could find a better title.

Only at LSU can donations be down due to two men and then one of those men appoints the other as an assistant to "donor" relations
