Noticed two facemasks in a row in the 3rd with 8 min left. One on clement during hills run and one on josh d when hilliard lost yardage. Same drive the defender tries to hit obj when he comes down out of bounds without the ball, same deal loston was flagged for, he even clips him on the back of the helmet.

Are you talking about Will Blackwell stepping on the guy's hand. Yeah, I don't think that was on purpose.

I was able to watch the first quarter before I had to drive out of town. I listened to the rest of the game on XM, and they pointed out some lousy officiating. My buddy who watch the game said it was one of the worst officiated games he has ever seen. Lots of no calls , and flat out bad calls (personal foul on SC's last drive by Loston I beleive). I recorded the game and will watch it tonight, but obviously we did not get any home cooking in that game. Does anyone else feel the refs were horrible durning this game?

I can't remember the player but there was a helluva obvious horse collar that wasn't called. The play by play guys even made a comment about it saying was within the rules to "use the hair" but on replay it was really obvious. He was yanked down by the pads not the hair.
Lots of pass interference calls also went unflagged.
And then there was the personal called on that out of bounds play where we didn't even hit the SC player yet we were flagged for "leading with the helmet". Our guy pulled up and didn't even hit the SC player.
Shitty officials for sure.

He was mad becasue he just got owned probably.

Seriously....Lonergan is wearing a helmet that protects his head from violent collisions, and this guy puches his the face with the helmet on....not the brightest person in the world.

So the guy took a swing at another player's helmet? Not smart. PJ was probably at him.

Calling the refs horrible during an SEC game is like saying water is wet. I love bowl games just because we get away from the SEC officiating. How our conference can have the best teams and the worst officials year after year has always mystified me.

...and so many were dissing Copeland for the personal foul penalty. While I'm not condoing that I am praising J.C. for his play as TEAM. Messages need to be sent - and returned. Copeland may be perhaps the season's MVP thus far.

He looked pretty nimble for a big fella on that one run that should have been a 5 yard loss but turned out to be a no gainer.
You gotta also consider the training and weight loss he underwent through the entire off season.

I watched the replay and watched Copeland. Before Copeland hits 99, JD gave him a right, left to the helmet and then Copeland sizes him up and leaves the screen.

After seeing 99 hit PJ, I'm sure PJ made everyone aware of it on the sideline.

Also, when we take a knee before halftime, our OL is talking smack to the SC DL and I'm sure 99 was involved.

Karma beotch!

The non horse collar call was on Ware & he was literally dragged down from behind. For the ref to see that it was his hair being pulled the ref would have had to have been behind the play. But he was standing right in front of Ware & had to see that he was dragged down by the collar, at least from that position. Herbie was pretty adamant bout it being a blown no call

Am I the only one who thought the OP was talking about our very own PJ on the rant?

Thanks for the link, I definitely missed that Saturday night. Man that is fricking unbelievable and then to call loston on a penalty based on intentions, not what actually happened and didnt touch the Gamecock dude at all. these refs were horrible.

If you're talking about the one on Ware, dude grabbed his dreads and pulled him down.

ETA: Herbie said it was a horse-collar and then watched the replay and said it looked like he grabbed his hair.
