Players 30 years ago weren’t throwing nearly as much across their amateur career as what guys are doing now.
Mid-90s used to be a power pitcher and now it’s just routine. Fastballs are faster and breaking stuff breaks more these days. Arms can’t hold up to the stress. This isn’t complicated stuff.

I won’t argue against that.
But some guys pitch within themselves and locate. That allows them to pitch longer. Some guys are mad effort (most guys in current times) and tire quicker.
