This is from 7 minutes ago (11:52 AM)
This comes amid conflicting reports regarding the Scotlandville native’s status for Saturday night

LSU said it had “no update yet” Saturday morning (March 8) for freshman guard Javonte Smart’s playing status Saturday night. A school official told NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune that WatchStadiuml.com’s report was the first he’d seen regarding an update for Smart.

It’s basically LSU giving the perception they are doing their due diligence.

If these suspensions arent lifted next week, im ready to be done with this administration at lsu all together. I have a small hope that they lift them, but anything logical must not be considered by that group of idiots

What a laughing stock this administration is allowing the program to become. It amazes me that the people in power, the money people, just sit back and let this transpire.

Must be more to the story than what was reported, someone has the skinny that he took money.

Completely agree. If he is ineligible then it’s does not make a difference.

I wish this board had just a tiny amount of influence with the suits at LSU. At the first sign of trouble, JA throws everyone under the bus to save himself. If the BoS don’t fire his pussy arse, they are just as frickin cowardly as he is.

LSU NEEDS A PURGE FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.
THE BOS NEEDS TO BE DISBANDED.
CHANGE THE LAW.
CORRUPT POLITICS
TAF SHOULD HAVE FULL CONTROL NOT THE BOS. as long as it’s private money and self supporting which LSU sports are. No public government appointed figures should have any say so.

It makes a difference of the kid or someone else verified he took the money and they continue to play him. So many people are riding for Wade and complaining about possibly sitting the kid but nobody knows what has been admitted to the administration. If the administration knows there has been a violation, using the coach and player probably exacerbates the situation.

The point is that the AD and School Administration are probably in full blown CYA mode. Depending on what else is released from the wire tap and potential testimony, when the NCAA comes knocking they can show they did something. At this point its about self preservation and not losing their jobs if they presue “ lack of institutional control.”
