Gotta nail the hire. We could do way worse than O, and Woodward better not.

You just throwing shite at the wall here or what??

Didnt know I had thrown anything. After going 5-5, Woodward knew EdO wasnt able to keep the program moving forward. Then after the UCLA start, he focused in on his target. Last weekend solidified everything, and he then felt ready to inform EdO

Not my tax money. TAF money and they have plenty more where that came from for the next hire.

Doesn’t this still effect program as a whole like less future donations for improvements, athletics in general, and/or higher fees for right to buy tickets TAF controls? Having more money where buyout is coming from doesn’t mean it’s an unlimited source of money growing on trees.

Ed staying would obviously big problem and possibly cost more than buyout over time, but that doesn’t mean Woodward shouldn’t feel be some heat for approving such a large guaranteed buyout for a known piece of crap loose canon and putting LSU in this position (if it ends up being paid). Woodward throws a lot of money around and also throws money away based on past job and current one. In this economy and with actual inflation even higher than reported calculated rate LSU can’t keep wasting money on mistakes. Spending money to make money doesn’t mean ignoring waste created by his mistakes.

If these reports are true biggest hope for me now would be an agreement that ensures Ed doesn’t sabotage things during remaining time (or afterwards) and also makes it harder for a piece of crap like Ed to live up to making more likely that LSU doesn’t end up paying Ed much at all after he leaves officially.

That twitter dude is a pos, just BS to get clicks.

No way coaches and players didn't want to play, they just thought what we thought, he didn't have what it took to remain head coach at LSU.

Is not what you originally said.

This is....

quote:

Yeah, its done. When EdO went 5-5 the year following the best team in history, Woodward started the process. Last weekend locked everything in place, and his target agreed

That was in response to someone who said the coaching search was over and we have our guy already. That insinuated that we have our new coach already.

That is throwing shite at the wall, unless you have a legit source...

Unless you are just really bad at communicating and were referring to Ed as Woodward's target.

One problem with that is...you won't know who the next coach is for at least 4-6 weeks. And neither will recruits. The speculation train will be going around in circles.

There was going to be speculation, regardless. Now one thing is certain, Orgeron is leaving. Recruiting will always take a hit during a coaching change, but at least they know one is coming.

As for me, I can now enjoy the rest of the season with peace of mind, and that’s a welcome outcome.

And yet…..there was no cause to even attempt argue in spite of Title IX hanging over the program.

I would REALLY like to hear what did O offer to do/not do that made giving O the full buyout being the negotiated result.

Ditto: Woody is not acting ethically and financially prudent by paying out the full buy out. It is called ethos, where is the BOS on this Title IX debacle by letting girl athletes get beat up and abused. I know, they covered it all for big booster. If you terminate O for that, you gotta terminate the associate AD’s. Seems like just throwing around money and protecting insiders. Same thing Wall Street did during Great Recession in 2008 and 2009.

I know Moscona gets tons of hate on here but he said this morning that Fickell wants to remain in the Midwest and this will not be in Woody’s complete control. Tate will have a say so.

Moscona had sources on the baseball hire too. He was wrong multiple times.

Ok..... so that confirms you are indeed bad at communication

Let me dumb it down... Your ORIGINAL post, when looked at in context with the post you replied to, implied that we already have our new coach. Is that what you meant to imply?

Boy they have a lot to learn, we lost the country with the other guy and that's the country they have to deal with when they can't live off sports anymore.
