He's failing in year 2 across the board.

LSU has a top 5 offense in the country. The side of the ball that Kelly is an expert in.

We didn't set the expectations.

Kelly disagreed with the top 5 ranking. He knew his team and knew what he had, and knew it wasn't there yet.

So who do you think suggested it?
you realize Woodward is responsible for the Kelly hire, and he'll have input. An AD doesn't just sit quietly after spending $100 million on a head coach.

Just curious: What would be some of those tough questions you would ask? And how would you ask them in a way they would be answered?

"Coach, Dashawn Womack played 5 snaps against Arkansas and was effective on all 5 snaps. Against Ole Miss, the team had zero sacks and gave up several 3rd and long conversions. Why did Dashawn Womack receive zero defensive snaps against Ole Miss?"

Instead the only question they asked was "Coach, is Dashawn Womack available?" To which BK answered "Yes." That's the only explanation we got.

Recruiting finished #5 last year. We are #10 currently cause of a down year in Louisiana… O and Miles both had worse years than that.

BK always said year 3 is whenever we would take off.

Truth is we hit gold last year in the portal and this year we didn’t. He doesn’t want to live by the portal forever and stated that numerous times. I think we will be fine. Just need some patience

Losing Nabers and likely BTJ will hurt. We have WR talent, but it will take time and those two have been elite. I like Nuss, but JD has made a big jump from last season. Nuss will have growing pains and make mistakes. Does Diggs stay?

I expect the offense to be good, but not as good as this season. That means the offense has to make a significant leap forward. It can't be any worse, but it needs to be well above average if we are going to be a serious contender.

It’s year fricking two. Rome was not built in a day. Give it some time.

I don't think he's been asked to build Rome. We're asking him to not give up a record breaking amount of yards. Seems like a reasonable ask.

I mean if you really want to compare him to Saban, Saban went undefeated in the regular season in his 2nd year at Bama. His only 2 losses were in the SEC Championship and Sugar Bowl.

He inherited a 6-7 team and didn't have the transfer portal.

Pumpers will say but 39 players and he needs time blah blah…this is year 2 of portal football and it’s worse

The defensive performance put on the field so far is unacceptable but its also not being a "pumper" to realize the program was in a valley when BK arrived and his efforts to even get the team to where they are now is a pretty sizeable accomplishment.

How many coaches have taken over a 6-6 team and been a playoff contender in year 1 or 2?

Nope sorry YOU have failed! You have failed as a football aficionado and as a fan. Your post is a colossal failure and an embarrassment to TD.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Kelly is not a good enough coach for us. House is a total disaster.

If you honestly look at the 25 pledged recruits 1/3rd are three stars dragging our average down with 5 SEC teams ahead of us. One defensive front pledge. Normally we only have 25 HS recruits. I don’t know how many more we could take but I don’t see any game changing D-linemen coming through the door at this late date. Normally we have at least two five stars and one is a cornerback.

Rome was made with Saban and kept relevant with Miles. It took less time for Rome to fall than it took to build. Enter the shrimp boat captain and Tennille.

You’re part of the overdramatic problem of the fanbase. You call it pumpers, we call it reality. You can’t always get what you want right away. The problem wasn’t created overnight and it can’t be fixed right away. Let the season play out before you start crying about the sky is falling.

LSU will be outspent by a lot of other schools in this new era. No way to overcome it.
