Some walk ons that impressed during spring game

A few walk ons I did a double take on during the spring game were these guys, outside of the obvious former walk ons like Josh Williams and Jack Mashburn.
#40 CB (JR.) Kai Hedgemon - he looked huge (roster says 6'3, 192), and seemed to cover whoever he was facing pretty tight, made a couple plays during the game against some scholarship guys....transfer from Jacksonville who disbanded their football program a few years ago.
#23 RB (JR.) Corren Norman - Nothing much to say here other than he ended the game with that nice catch and run for a TD from Walker Howard.
#39 PK (SO.) Ezekeal Mata - Effortlessly put a 40 something yard FG right through the middle of the uprights
#48 TE (SR.) Nick Storz - He actually struggled some dropping a pass, but he's got the size for sure to help blocking on the line...can tell he just rejoined team recently
#53 LT (FR.) Brian Balestra - Played LT late in the game and held his own, got some size at 6'4 311...xfer from Georgetown
#67 C (SO.) Spencer Payne - People might laugh but he almost looked like the best center in the game, but it's a weak spot for us especially right now...at 6'2, 296 he would struggle to hold up more than likely...but I was impressed with his ability to pass block and get to next level in run blocking too
#84 WR (rFR.) Noah Nash - Kid made a few catches in the game and looked solid overall
#88 WR (SR.) Evan Francioni - Hard to not notice this kid, been around forever now, plays really hard and he got a lot of playing time in the game
Just some walk ons I noticed outside the usual suspects. Not arguing they should be starting/playing etc, just like to recognize some guys who get a chance to stand out when otherwise they wouldnt play much if at all during the season.

This kid looked the part and was physical and nasty out there.

Is he the one who runs great routes but drops literally 50% of the balls thrown to him in practice videos?
Nevermind, No, That’s no.89 I think.

Put him at RT. Will's got LT all to himself.

I mentioned him because he never really plays on offense during actual games.

Just because majority of his playing time comes on special teams doesn't mean he shouldn't also be considered a "former walk on", but I get that you were just trying to highlight his performance on offense during the scrimmage.

I hope Mata plays just because of his uniqueness. I wonder if he could get any solid NIL deals.

Storz may have to be on scholarship? Not sure, but he came to LSU via a baseball scholly.
Payne and Francioni were awarded scholarships last year with Mashburn and Nick Demas (RB). Not sure how these are being honored moving forward
Corren Norman is a nice contributor, he has already lettered twice at LSU.
