A&M needs a reason to disconnect from JF without costing 85MM. They'll be looking desperately for "Cause".

Not going to happen unless it’s something obviously real. They’d never be able to hire another coach if they clearly screwed him out of his contract. Who would trust them? That’s why we just paid Orgeron his money, we could’ve fired him for cause.

Pretty wild that you think lsu could have not paid oregeron $17mm because they had cause but chose not to and instead paid him because they were worried what the next coach might have thought
