If Fournette doesn't fumble twice in plus territory, we are having a different conversation. Both times we were moving the ball. When we have the ball in the shadow of our own goal posts most of the second half, it's tough. Had we just run the ball, we would be screaming about how conservative we are. We threw the ball some, and people are saying we should've ran it.
All in all, I'm encouraged. When Harris led us to two late TDs the last time we play these guys at home made the score look close, but we all knew we took an arse whipping. They got two window dressing scores late that made the score look better. Tolliver's ball awareness needs some work. They did establish a run game in second half, but we shut that down for the most part.

Same Ole Les. I'm done until he's replaced. I'll support the players but not that idiot!

100% agree. The sloppiness was/is expected from a 3rd game where there is so much new on our team. My biggest pro was that I don't really remember any coaching gaffes.
We all know what our playbook is capable of now. Lets get excited!

Do you really believe LSU is far more talented? If you do, we did watch different games. LSU is a mediocre offense across the board with the exception of number seven. Once injuries hit the line, it was hang on and hope

Then we shite the bed the 2nd half.
Our superstar RB shite the bed.
We still won.
I don't think LF7 will fumble twice in a game again.

In defense of our special teams, that onside kick was flawlessly executed.

No energy after we get a lead as usual.
The fumble had a lot to do with it. Took the energy out of everyone. If he doesn't fumble the score is probably 30-13 at that point. The play calling was pretty much the same.

You don't find any blame with the coaches on how we defended the onside kick? We didn't even look like we knew it was coming
Then why did we line up with everyone up and only 1 deep? We knew it was coming. We just didn't know how to defend it.

MSU is not a horrible team this year.
Come on man, you know better than this.

My son-in-law said it perfectly...LSU is a work in progress. It's going to be that way all year so we either deal with or not watch.
And this is exactly why Miles has to go. This team is too talented with too much experience to be "a work in progress". The man gets paid 4+ mil a year and the fan's choices are deal with it or not watch?

Minus the failed reverse at the end, what specifically did our coaching do to hold this team back?

not optimistic. I just recognized it was coached differently. after all this time that's a huge positive for me!
I recognize the changes and improvements but the coaching still tended to rally back to old tendencies in a couple of situations.
1. Stupid play call at end of half burning up the clock and having to settle for a field goal. Ran two run plays in the final minute inside the 10 yd line with only one TO.
2. Last series on offense needing a FD to seal the game. I agree with runs on the first two plays but running LF up the gut twice had no expectation of making the yardage. I was actually surprised they allowed a 3rd down pass in that situation but they put themselves in that situation. This is where I get so mad about the toss dive because had we run the standard handoff then we could have bootlegged off the play in this situation but you cant bootleg off the toss play.

They had the hands team in so of course they knew it was coming,
Oh yeah it was a pretty perfect kick too.

Looked like a typical Les game
this says all I need to know about you. We get it. You hate Les and want him fired. We get that you can't see what's actually happening because you are just anti-Miles period.

MSU lost to a team that has had a football program for less than a decade. They're an abysmal football team.

I still saw too much of an egg headed coached game in totality. Reverses and half back pass so early? Gambling when not necessary?
Everyone talks about Etling, Fournette, etc. The real focus for the future is the health, continuity, and gelling of a revolving door of offensive linemen. Consistenty there will solve many problems.

Sure this team made some mistakes in the 2nd half but if they learn from the mistakes they made that will be the difference.

We were moving the ball fine until the two fumbles. Score would likely have been very different.
