Not triggered at all. I do think it’s funny that you continuously try to speak like you know things and you can’t speak on them accurately. And you’re smarter than the coach because of your hindsight decision making skills.

While I’m sleeping it off, you try to read up a little bit and educate yourself on the topic you’ve been trying to talk about, albeit inaccurately.

And got it. You know what you’re talking about because Paul lied because he wanted to make Helmers feel better about not cutting it in the pitching staff and he knowingly lied and said Helmers had been more solid at 3rd defensively because it boosted his ego even though he knew Helmers had actually been sucking at 3rd and at pitching. Got it. I think I understand your brilliant reasoning now. Haha

Paul wasn’t going to say that Hellmers sucks at pitching. Is that what you wanted? I told you and I’ll say it one more time since you seem to be having trouble. Either Paul missed in his evaluation or his missed on his gut. One or the other. Unless you don’t think he missed at all which seems odd considering no one is going to think Helmers is the better choice than Thompson.

But I digress. Paul goes with his gut all the time. He admits to it. This had all the hallmarks of one of those calls. From him not even know the kid played 3B in high school to him simply seeing him play 1B for a day and giving him a shot. It’s a very likely scenario. You’re getting all worked up over something as if it’s personal to you. Chill.

Got it. Helmers sucks at pitching and was removed from the staff because of it. He sucks at infield but Paul’s ego wouldn’t allow him to not start Helmers even though we all knew he sucked. Next time I want to know the behind the scenes details about a player, I’ll come to you first. You seem to really know! Dude, I’m literally not mad whatsoever haha. I think it’s funny how you’re trying to act like you have a clue. You ran out of stuff to make up so now you are trying the old “you’re triggered, just chill” tactic. I’m fine, trust me. I’ve had nothing better to do or I wouldn’t be still responding. Not worried about you in the least.

Not having our closer available for our only save opportunity
Why do you and your butt buddy keep bringing this up when it’s not true?

When Fontenot was warming up in the bullpen on Saturday to be brought in at the top of the 9th the score was 4-1 which would have been a save opportunity.

Then Arnold hit his 2 run homerun to make the score 6-1 which kept it from being a save opportunity. Would you have wanted Mainieri to have Fontenot sit down after having already fully warmed up?

You know both Mainieri and Dunn believe once a pitcher has warmed up he’s not available to pitch the next day anyway especially early in the season.

So blame Arnold for making it a non-save opportunity in the ninth inning.

Which I disagree with and it leads to what happened.

I figured it was more relevant that bringing up a player that hasn't been on the team in 4 years to make my point.

You can be sure that that isn’t what happened. Maneiri has won over 1000 baseball games in his career. I’m no Maneiri fan but I can figure out that he didn’t just decide to throw the kid in at 3rd because he smelled good that day. FYI, kids that are great pitchers on baseball teams often are great at other positions too. That doesn’t necessarily mean they can handle playing under the bright lights of Alex Box. Baseball coaching is a whole lot of trial and error. This isn’t new.

Yes, if you don’t have the right approach at the plate a 94mph fast ball will most definitely lock you up. If you’re not expecting fastball you may be in a pickle. If you’re looking outside and the pitcher comes inside you may be in a pickle. Point being that if the batter doesn’t have some idea of what pitch he’s looking for he puts himself at a much greater disadvantage. 94mph is plenty fast to lock a batter up. Greg Maddux used to lock batters up with an 86mph pitch. He relied mostly on location.

This has become way overblown. Maddux used to throw 90+ and did so for 90% of his career. His two seam was 88 or so but he could still hit 90 and often did even at the end.

Correct. That was my response to people complaining about the loss to AF as if they had JV pitchers on the mound. I think some people truly believe that if a team is supposed to have less talent then they have no talent and everyone out there are scrubs. The pitchers we faced in the second AF game had arm talent that we will face regularly in conference.

Hill and Crews are very good bets. You are way premature on saying Morgan is a 100% certain first rounder.

One of them throwing 93-94. The closer throwing 97 with a ton of movement. Yeah they suck. Got it. It’s AF. They aren’t LSU so they have no talent. What was I thinking?

Are you aware that there is a level in between sucking and what LSU will face regularly in the SEC or do you always use extremes in your arguments?
