I can respect the loyalty to coaches and the players you recruited but not at the sake of the program. The portal is the way of the future, clean house go get a few key players to shake up the locker room and give yourself a chance. This program is headed in the wrong direction. It's not common but at a certain point we are going to start losing the recruits we are able to commit to come here. Yes the team was technically young but this entire year was inexcusable from coaching all the way down to the effort put out on the field. I'll be in OKC with my purple and gold on yet again repping this team till they get their crap together again one day.

The inexplicable refusal to use the portal is what bothers me the most. There are too many dead weight people on this team that were recruiting misses and need to be moved on from. Look at Courtney Diefel she has totally remade the Arkansas program through the use of the transfer portal

I agree completely with you TB 357 and want to thank you for all your great insight and commentaries.
Changes have to be made in the coaching !!
We cannot continue with these assistants. Programs of all kinds usually need influx of new talent to teach over the years, especially when those teachers have been subpar.
It is suspect to me that they haven’t gone to head coaching opportunities in smaller universities and colleges, maybe no offers…
In just one year in LSU working with CKM , Sylvia Messer was offered and is now the HC of UCF WB…

I agree 357, so many well-coached teams have a pitching coach, and even though Beth was a pitcher 20 odd yrs ago it's not helping the team with her coaching the pitchers. Take Baylor, Britni Sneed has been there with Glenn Moore for about 18 yrs. Her coaching the pitchers, using his philosophy, has allowed him to coach and delegate. And this was a guy who was a fastball pitcher for "The King and His Court", back in the day.. Rachael Fico comes to mind as someone who has excelled as a pitching coach. Defensively Leftwich ain't it. Sadly our catchers were recruited as catchers, and none of them could start for any other SEC team. I could go on but you guys have pretty much nailed it with your comments..

Besides using the portal the development of players is not good. We have seen way too many kids go backwards or stagnate. We brought in Amanda Sanchez and she all of a sudden forgot how to hit the ball for nearly 2 months at the end of the year.

Let also not forget that the reason the USA softball Olympic team didn’t win the gold medal was their hitting under Dobson. Suddenly these softball stars and Pros could barely bat over the span of several games..

If finishing the season on a 4 game losing streak doesn’t spur Beth to make some hard decisions, I am not sure what will. She will be back next year but is she willing to make changes in her staff and hit the portal for pitchers and catchers?

Bad defense early cost the Tigers. A disappointing season for a team that had a lot of expectations. Better luck next year ladies

SC is hot garbage
But that isn't the point, maybe we shouldn't be saying things about other conferences and how no one can stop us then go 0-2 in the tourney to two non P5 teams. We were so bad we won't even face ASU a single time.

Well we lost twice before getting to the Pac-12 team so that's not great. But it doesn't really matter, it's online fodder for like 15 people that knew about it.
