So...all this talk about secret coaches only meetings & kicking LSU out of the SEC....

...Is this just the chicken shite, competition averse SEC coaches being scared of our NIL budget/players and Kiffin and and trying to use the NFL thing as an excuse to get rid of a huge potential L on the schedule...a little gaslighting end run to make their playoff path easier...

I don't know what the point was in floating the idea of kicking out a fricking founding member of the SEC for something that didn't even violate any rules, but I'm sure they got LSU's attention. And not in the “we're scared of the big, bad SEC” kind of way.
When you put something like that out into the universe, you better be damn sure you know WTF you're talking about. Because if you're going to threaten a founding member over something that wasn't even against the rules, you'd better be prepared for the wrath.

Think of it this way.
If the SEC feels great about their new rule and believe they can enforce it, and if member schools feel like they can band together and blackball LSU, why are they leaking stories threatening to kick LSU out of the conference?
Seems like the other threats would suffice.

Yeah there’s no traction to any of that. I haven’t been in any meetings regarding this topic with Sankey and the SEC etc

Why aren't these jerks upset with Texas and Missouri, too? Those schools have taken in some "professional" athletes, also.

Don't know why they are having meetings, they have no power to do anything. They gave that away.
All power and authority in the conference has been vested in the Commissioner.
They can't do anything but refuse to play against LSU, which would result in a forfeit for them, and a win for LSU.
LSU wins the SEC with a perfect conference record.

I would. Where are they going? ACC? Big 10? PAC 12? Conference USA? Playing in the SEC is a big draw for recruits and the stadium doesn’t get filled like it used to, especially against weaker competition.
