I remember when Tennessee beat us in Basketball and Football. Since I live in Tennessee it was tough.
Sure was sweet though once Dale and then Saban at LSU started winning those games.

Not too long ago, the teams that had the most voters were the best and not the ones that proved it on the field.
The SEC was victim to that quite frequently because they collection of good teams they had would knock each other off.
When the BCS came out, SEC teams started playing more B1G teams in all sorts of bowls and it became blatantly obvious that a lot of "common knowledge" from the AP era was complete horse shite.
I'll never support another conference over the SEC, although I enjoyed Clemson beating Alabama a few years back. The SEC cannibalizes itself every year, and the media tells its lies to make all the 2nd place losers remain interested in the sport. It's BS. We fight each other to the death, but we are on the same team when it comes to the big picture.
