I pulled for them in the 2nd half when my ML bet went south and I went turncoat to recoup my full game bet with Bama -7 and the under 2nd half.
A Bama loss would have helped us recruiting.

Every Gump I know wanted Clemson to beat our arse last year. The only time I would pull for them to win is if it would somehow help us.

This! Right here! If a gump win helps LSU I'm rooting for them because it's like rooting for LSU. For instance, if we needed the gumps to beat a team ranked ahead of us to get us in the playoff damn sure I'm rooting for them. Or any team that helps LSU.
Edit: I'm in the middle of gump land and have many gumps as work colleagues. None of them told me to my face they rooted for Clemson. I watched the game with several who deserved an academy award if they were rooting for Clemson.

Great question, I can't stand Bama football, as far as I'm concerned they are the sworn enemy of LSU and must be destroyed.
I can't stand that team, and I don't care how many championships they were to win\not win. Nick Satan is probably the biggest prick coaching at any level of football, and he can piss off as well. I would rather any team win than the Gumps, and I will forever hate that football team.
Why do we have so many supposed LSU fans that are Bama apologists in here??? Why does any LSU fan kiss the Gumps arse?? Far as I'm concerned they are the scum of the earth no matter what that football team does, I don't have to give them credit for shite and never will either. frick that team forever.

I am a friend with a Bama friend who is a member of the REC. He's regularly trying to tell me how noble it is for Devonte Smith's barber to continue to cut his hair in Tuscaloosa.
