….the rest of the season?

I think it’s pretty clear that us blitzing constantly helps our injured and inexperienced secondary. Why did it take so long?

Because Orgeron is constantly looking for things to fix instead of looking for ways to prevent issues. He just keeps trying things until something sticks.

My theory (that is probably wrong) is that Ed got his buyout and said frick it and quit meddling. Daronte finally got to do what he’s wanted to do all year.

Coaching.

Simple as that.

Players don’t call the plays and schemes.

Coaches do.

So frustrating. My guess is desperation since our secondary was thin but I’d love to know the reason we waited until now to actually blitz and even disguise our coverages.

Ed Does not coach, and he can not interfere when his mic is in the up position… I did see him first time talk into the mic on a 3rd down in the 4th q yesterday If he only cared all this time as much as he did yesterday he wouldn’t be fired

you're on to something there. He's a fireman, and if he doesn't have a fire to put out he morphs into Arson Man.

Realistically, he can't (or couldn't to be more accurate) see issues before they were problems. That's why every little aspect never seemed to be in sync with the rest.

Alabama won an SEC football game and only rushed for 6 yards. Let that sink in.

I don’t completely disagree with you except 3-4 isn’t durante’s thing right? Isn’t he a 4-2-5 guy? It was probably because the secondary is so banged up they stumbled into the better defense.

I don't think college football is his thing. His defense got skull dragged all year. Great performance Saturday but 79th in the country tells it all.

Good luck to him on his next gig, glad it won't be here.

It took Joneshoyang all this time to figure out what would work, combined with Shrimpy backing off and leaving him alone.

That's TWO unqualified coach right there, then you add a THIRD in Peetz and you have a perfect storm of dysfunction trying to compete in the SEC West.

There's nothing wrong with the talent.

The new HC needs to come in here and scrap this NFLSU crap and make winning Championships the priority once again. The NFL stuff should take a back seat. If you have NFL talent, it will come in time. Come to LSU to win the SEC and the NFL will take care of itself......
