Big donors are the only ones who can force F King/Alleva/BOS's hands in this matter. Sure, regular fans can say they'll stop donating, but they won't care until a top 20 donor threatens to stop the multi-million dollar per year donations. Which donor is going to step up?

Something needs to happen, LSU athletics is a joke. I love how they cover it up by saying winning isnt everything. BS!, it is everything and its what makes the university money which is without a doubt everything so therefor winning equals more money which equals everything!

They already have. Their hands are tied at this point but the money backs wade. Have heard this from multiple different connections.

Their first order of business is getting Smart back on the floor

There’s some strings to wade’s situation that are very unknown. I’m fairly certain that wade said worse shite on those tapes that potentially may or may not ever be heard. LSU and it’s big donors aren’t ready to either unhitch or hitch the wagons yet. While most want him to coach until something is proven, that likely won’t happen.

I’m not sure to it’s validity but there is a possibility that the FBI could charge coaches with bribery etc just like in the recent admissions cases. I’m assuming LSU doesn’t want to take on liability for that

Big donors are going to step in and stop donating when LSU officials stop taking steps to preserve the integrity of the school. So far, they have done so.

The board is happy. If a majority did not support King or Joe or suspension none of it would happen or hold a position at LSU. It’s that cut and dried it just takes a simple majority.

I'm not saying it won't happen, but in the admissions case, those coaches accepted bribes. That's different than this.

Joe is taking a Switzerland like approach to this. He sinks with Wade. If wade is a failure that’s another collossal black mark on his record and he likely will not get a new contract. He should stand up for his guy and push the BOS and Alexander to reinstate. Suspending wade was the absolute worst thing they could have done.

His failures:
Miles pre mature firing
Botching the Jimbo hire
Botching the Herman hire
Johnny Jones
Trent Johnson
Florida hurricane situation

His success:
Hiring wade (could ultimately end up as a failure
Beth Torina
Kristian Fulton reinstatement

Big donors do not get into the position they are in in life by having the current mentality of LSU fans.

They understand business and how to protect that business. They understand procedure & covering your tracks.

This is inaccurate...If he is the yes man to his higher ups, and he follows their orders, the farce will continue no matter how dire the athletics situation gets.

The ONLY way it gets better is if we start pushing on the people at the top and actually make these things matter to them.

Accepting bribes is one thing but offering bribes for influence is just as illegal I believe. It would be unprecedented and would cause hysteria across college sports because that’s just how it’s done.

Opening up people to that kind of activity as prosecutable would bring sweeping changes to basketball and football recruiting

If you want to know it’s done, read the article SB Nation did on Bagmen in college football. It’s fascinating.

Many have. It's the only reason Wade is technically still employed.

They're hoping that they will be able to fire him with minimal repercussions once everyone has calmed down.

Don’t forget the Texas ticket debacle...absolute asinine to play a game in a state where you have tons of alumni, but none can actually attend the game without paying an arm and a leg. Why not make it a neutral site game, or better yet, schedule vs another premium opponent who won’t make such a awful demand.

the LA laws need a constitutional amendment

no political cronies appointed by a political crony should have any control over LSU sports which are self sufficient even though we are a public university.

disband BOS

TAF creates their own TAF BOS and makes all calls sports related

F the chancellor and current day BOS and governor

all big donors stop donating. let it crash and burn or go back to using public taxpayer money then maybe the dumbfricks running LSU will change their minds. no dumbasses in the public sector should have any say so over sports funded by the PRIVATE SECTOR.

i mean wtf do we have to do? switch to being a [private school to keep state political cronies out of the decision making process

They understand calculated risk. You do not, so quit pretending you've ever bumped elbows with elite business minds.
