What did he do that actually drew the flag? Yesterday’s officiating was really poor, but that call and the non review of the spot on 4th and short were as questionable as I’ve seen in games all year, regardless of whether it’s LSU or otherwise.

Honestly I think that call was good for Perk. Let him talk his talk. BK threw him back in the game showing trust, and he made play and plays.

Got into a shoving match was what it looked like. I think he also bumped a ref. The ref missed the OM OL shoving Perkins facemark while he was laying on the ground. It should have been a PF on Ole Miss and that's why Perkins was pissed off.

Retaliation but they were BOTH jawing and not backing away.

Should have been offsetting, at worst.

I'm sure Perkins will get an earful from Kelly because that could have been a HUGE turn. Luckily it didn't end up hurting us.

I watched the whole thing. ZERO physical contact. He was nowhere near a ref. All talk to an opposing lineman. The ref flagged him then told him to get off his lawn.

That bonus first down was bull shite... They didn't even measure it...

Thank God we had that int, if they would've scored, no telling what the game outcome would've been.

So after the tackle the Ole Miss player shoved Perkins head in the ground. He got up not happy about it and who can blame him. I’m sure he’s said something that drew an unsportsmanlike. Kelly chewed on his arse and then they showed it on the Jumbotron in the stadium. When Kelly saw what happened he immediately started gnawing on the officials asses.

Is that the one where he was on the ground and an Ole Miss player was holding his facemask into the ground?

That line judge was on the take he was right there and no excuse to miss the spot by 2’ and quick signal 1st. Shame on Birmingham for not stopping what would’ve been an easy overturn.

The line judge and official who flagged Perkins unsportsmanlike should be investigated. They are either closet OM fans, closet hate LSU folks, or were getting paid by sharks. No other explanation.

There was another phantom call where either Penn or Jones Jr kind of bear-hugged the RB OOB to keep the RB from falling and it was for some reason flagged as PF Late Hit OOB.

Really we’re some bad bad calls in that game on both sides.

He pushed the ref out of the way while trying to get to a player. Can’t touch a ref, dude immediately threw a flag. Contact was definitely made. Needs to keep his head in those situations

He was flagged for constantly dragging his nuts all over OM.

Yep, you could see him nudge the ref out of his way, so he could get back at that O-lineman.

You have no idea WTF you’re talking about. The odds are that the ref was right, and our guy did something outrageous. Someone above said he bumped the ref. If he did, you think that should be offsetting?

Yes anything LSU could do to initiate it being reviewed like call a time out, ask for review?

They didn't show it on the replay, but the flag was for him making contact with the ref after the ref was trying to break them up. He's lucky he didn't get thrown out of the game because that was a huge no-no.

I was at the game and saw when the ref threw the flag. There was hardly any contact at all with the ref. The ref stepped in between Perkins and the Ole Miss guy, and Perkins pretty much swim moved the ref. Was there minimal contact by Perkins so that he could get back to the Ole Miss OL, yes. Was there a “shove” or “strong physical contract”, no.

And I was also watching the BK interaction with Perkins on the sidelines. BK saw the replay on the Jumbotron and immediately quit yelling at Perkins and was out on the field yelling at the refs.
