Ultimately this isn't about LSU recruiting and perception. It's a glistening and beautifully executed example of why the 2nd Amendment is so important to most Americans. Let Tommy Sotomayor lay it down all while destroying BLM for not giving two shits about Kobe.
Welp. He's not wrong. YouTube opinion by Tommy Sotomayor-- NSFWish Title and language

I don't see why not. Unless he's having some mental issues, which would be understandable.

Who knows. Maybe his dad and LEO network will help him with Critical Incident Stress Debriefing(what cops and first responders go through after crazy shite goes down to help keep their professional and personal lives intact).

Hell, I ain't got a clue how I would feel about football after blasting someone in the face at point blank range.

Why haven't they released a name and age of the guy who attempted the theft?
They did, not long after he was killed tbh. After notification of next of kin i'm guessing.

If it is trying to defend yourself from the mother fricker with a rap sheet you have a pass to kill him..

Someone breaks into your home are you going to say "I better not defend myself because he might have a rap sheet and that doesn't give me a free pass to kill him"... NO! You will find out after the fact he has a rap sheet. Do you think CEH knew he had a rap sheet before shooting him?

Try to soft sell it all we want, but this is disturbing when added to the other recent death. Not saying anyone at LSU is to blame, just not a good vibe for us.

The other poster implied that since the guy that was shot had a long rap sheet it was no problem for the shooter that he is dead regardless of circumstance.

Wrong a-hole. He simply implied that a long rap sheet would fit with the act of pulling a gun on LSU players during a robbery. Why don't you take a break from this thread? It's too much for you.

This is one of the stupidest things I've read in a while.

Players aren't going to be shooting their teammates and I would think that recruits would be glad to know that their "football brother" would do anything to protect them from harm.

I’m just now seeing this and am late to the party, but this is seriously one of the stupidest statements I have ever seen, and you’re trying to hard to make my comments seem worse than they are.

deadly force can be used if someone is breaking into to your home or vehicle while you are inside of either.

Somewhat surprised more details haven't come out.

How did he wind up in the back of their vehicle? I assume he opened the door and pulled the gun on them from back there?

I mean, I don't imagine the alleged transaction was going down in the vehicle.

No, pulling a BB gun to rob someone does give you a pass. Hell it could have been a realistic looking air gun or water gun. It doesn't freaking matter. One thing we learned about Clyde. He is ready for the big moment or the unexpected and doesn't melt under pressure. That was about as high of a pressure situation you could be in.

I believe it was cold and windy that morning. The incident took place around noon. Maybe they willingly let him in the backseat because of the weather. Just speculating ...

Or maybe he lured them inside the vehicle so others wouldn’t see him rob the victims. Either way it doesn’t matter, multiple lives have been affected by this incident. Not good for all parties involved

Sadly the press just sucks today. From an insider the 18 year old kid pulled a BB gun, that's like taking a knife to a gun fight. Then CEH, who's father is a retired policeman, pulled a real gun and fired twice, once in the chest and once in the head. Guess the kid was taught to shoot. Still self defense but why don't these facts come out after a week? Press covering for an athlete and while I bleed purple and gold I just hate the press. That's not cofirmed but from a very good source, I was in the press for 35 years.

How is this the press covering for an athlete?

If a journalist can't get a first hand source to confirm the weapon the alleged robber was using, how should they "report" this? Based off of rumors they're hearing? Did you report rumors? That doesn't sound like solid journalism if you ask me.

If the PD isn't willing to go on the record, the best you can do is get a quote from another first responder, but did any of them actually have access to the weapon? Doubtful. They likely just for the info from others on the scene. So, now you're reporting second hand information. Again, not very solid journalism IMO.

Also, keep this in mind. Nobody would have even heard about this story if an LSU athlete wasn't involved.

Shouldn't journalists strive to only report 100% verifiable and sourced information?
