LSU playing at the Big House, Shoe and Happy Valley will be amazing.

Btw, I seriously doubt there is any way the SEC can harm LSU without serious financial repercussions. LSU has choices, even if the SEC tries to come down on them, it opens a whole can of shite on the SEC.

A landmark civil suit that could sink the SEC for good.

Remember when Nick Saban skirted the coaching rules with the huge amount of off-field analyst and quality-control staff, claiming they weren't coaching? I forget, did the SEC sue Alabama and make them stop?

Sankey will be gone soon

I don’t think this relationship is repairable.

I agree and I am good with either direction. But one has to go, this is not salvageable with Stankey.
The only thing that worries me is that the justice system in American is at an all time low, and quite frankly that is the only way I can see LSU not winning any lawsuit that come about.
But America is weird right now in the courtrooms.
I have no problem lining up with ND and being the top two independents in America. We will make the playoffs every single year...Geaux Tigers

One thing is certain. There's no school in the SEC besides LSU that has proven itself to stand up against those who are entrenched against the rights of the players. That should work well in future recruiting.

Agreed . . . I think this is why Kiffin is doing this. He's already said he'll fall in line with the SEC which has said they will fall in line with an injunction.

Once the injunction is granted or not granted it will be business as usual. The wild card is will the Federal suit that was filed today prevent the players from being added to the roster which is due tomorrow.

Long lasting? None that I can see. But temporary, yes. All this distraction for the coach and the team could cause us to lose to Clemson.

Separate matter. As to the why, Kiffin comes out of it with street cred among players.

Sankey is doing what the other schools are telling him to do. Other schools have called for lsu to be expelled from the conference if those players play. The schools voted for the new rule.

Agreed . . . I was just pointing out that the legal gamesmanship could still render these players ineligible despite receiving an injunction today.

Regardless of the outcome Kiffin is walking away with street credit with new recruits.

If SEC has a tv contract which includes LSU as part of that and they kick LSU out I don’t see Disney/ESPN paying that same contract anymore. Any action will have huge ripple effects.
