You have to request them from the school, which I assume LSU did for his school disciplinary records; it is possible that Houston did not turn that over.

and then LSU is going to look like idiots.

Not really.

Does the big12 have more say so than the ncaa?

I don’t see anyone making that claim. It’s linked in the multiple threads on this today.

If this happens in a SEC game, a player is ejected for a flagrant personal foul or flagrant unsportsmanlike foul, the SEC officials would automatically review to uphold, reduce or possibly add more penalties. This happens all the time. When we have questions, it’s almost always with SEC officials.

The school can appeal any suspension to the NCAA officials, but this doesn’t look like something they would overturn.

Football games are not won in the first half. If Haulcy not playing the first half is the reason LSU loses, then they have a serious problem.

In my opinion, Joe Sloan being OC is a bigger problem than not having Haulcy in the first half.

It’s not allowed. And that’s not what happened. The ruling was issued in December 2024.

Why should you look like an idiot when you don't know that an "easily obtainable public record" exists?? How would LSU know that the NCAA sent a letter to UH to even go look for a copy of it?

How dare you use common sense with the dumb asses on this board.

That's a big assumption

I agree, and it almost isn’t believable. The idea that LSU was caught completely unaware on Wednesday would suggest a level of incompetence that is hard to fathom.

Coaching is a pretty small fraternity, and even if Houston was upset with him leaving, LSU ought to have the ability to reach out and confirm if one of the two spring portal guys they added, who was ejected in the 4th quarter of the last game he played, was facing further discipline.

No doubt UH should face some kind of punishment too.

That's sabotage. Haulcey needs to hire a lawyer.

In the press release it says lsu will not be aloud to appeal the decision which in my opinion says it is up to the conference. Which the conference in the game did not determine the foul as fighting however after changed it. That at least is the way I am understanding this.

I don’t disagree. It’s a 60 minute game unless it goes to overtime. I’m not melting or predicting a loss because of this.

I did say if we literally just found out this week that’s a miss on the compliance department. It’s not the end of the world, but a process improvement needs to be made.

With the open transfers, it creates these weird edge cases. Like having Big 12 officials decide eligibility of a SEC player. I feel like when LSU asks SEC officials to look @ something it almost never goes our way.

Just watched Kelly’s press conference & it looks like we are working with SEC officials on this. Big 12 recorded it wrong immediately after the game & Big 12 corrected the mistake & informed Houston via letter. I’m guessing we knew before this week, but are asking SEC officials if we have to honor a Big 12 suspension. No big conspiracy. That’s how I’m reading it. Just a series of unfortunate events.

I think the Big 12 and Houston sat on this information on purpose. There has to be a time limit to report this stuff especially if you withhold information like this.

I hope something comes out that Houston did this intentionally to screw over Haulcy and then obviously that entire roster is gonna dip because the coach is a rat.

They really are out to get us. It’s insane. They can’t handle the fact that when the playing field is level, LSU is the pinnacle of college football, and for whatever reason they just can’t have that.
