I’m pretty sure that is Mickey yelling at #12 who had his hands on his helmet.

Well that makes sense. The water boy doesn’t spot the balls. So he was probably confused on why the water boy was spotting the ball.

Ummmm one of the best things for an OL player is intensity. So have an intense coach that can role model and teach intensity is a good thing! There has to be more than just technique. While the best technique in the world will help you win, if your as soft as a pillow your not going to win any battles in the trenches. I promise you the Alabama OL isn’t that good just off of technique. They are mean and intense!

They need a coach that can teach the finer points of OL play and can mold 5 players into 1; teach them their fricking reads and assignments so they don't have breakdowns every game. (Like the the OL coach at Alabama does and why they are consistently dominant every season)

I'm the first person to hate coaches screaming at people, but you're not in HS anymore. You're getting scholly's and NIL shite now. Setting an expectation that you take practice serious, no matter how trivial, will train your mind to stay focused and get the details right every time.

agreed.

Intensity is fine, but sometimes it's just a coach "playing the part." Now sure, occasionally it can get the players' attention, but it's a long fall camp and season, and I want my OL coach to teach the important aspects of OL play and maximize their productivity. If that includes intensity, great.

But I'd take a soft-spoken guy who knows his shite over an "intense" guy who doesn't any day of the week.

Dave Aranda, anyone?

Fair enough, but I would argue that Aranda probably wouldn't be the best OL coach and it wouldn't have anything to do with "knowing his shite."

OL coaches are just a different breed. They have to be.

Cregg was way too easy on them if you ask me.

Bradford has all the talent in the world but is still too big.

Hines is still making mistakes.

Oh please. Those people get away with murder and you all know it. There’s a reason that play from 2012 Bama game is so infamous. I’m tired of playing it cou like Bama isn’t favored by refs. Call me whatever you want idgaf. But Ik BS holding when I see it.

Yelling just to yell is one thing. Making players redo things if the hustle isn't there and they're messing up is another. I'm all for it.

This is who I think of when I hear Brad Davis and LSU together… and no, I’m not THAT old… wasn’t even born yet but I grew up with one of my best friends living next door to Dr Brad Davis… legend. Turn back the clock…
