doesn’t make sense to me. We take all the heat, take all the risks, are made out to be bad guys, then in the end, we don’t get to play the players while other teams will. Somebody tell me why?

Envy!

People are envious and ultimately angry at what Lane and LSU are doing. People hate greatness. Ask Saban. Ask Brady and the Patriots. Ask Curry and the Warriors.

Embrace it!

LSU had nothing to do with the litigation or decision yesterday other than two of the 44 players that are/were seeking eligibility want to play here. "The heat" is purely media generated because it's Lane and LSU.

Once a poster chooses to post on PoliTard, they should not be allowed to post on other forums.

LK can stand at the podium and say:

“We don’t have any of these players on our roster, but other teams do.
Why aren’t you covering them?”

It’s a legitimate question.
You go all Rosa Parks to sit in the front of the bus, then when they say it’s ok, you move to the back. Makes no sense.

That's a misinformed opinion. No teams are playing guys who meet the same criteria as Wright/Harris. LSU has rostered Junior Tuihalamaka from Notre Dame.

We have taken all the heat and the risk was of our own making testing the waters. In the end we "blinked" because the risk of severe penalties is too much of a threat. The big time donors, TAF and major LSU influencers, etc were not going to push all of our chips to the middle of the table.

It may not be fair but that's the bottom line.

Only if one parses words and says things like,” oh yeah he was invited to a pro camp but never signed a contract.” Or,” oh yeah he played professionally, but it was in Europe.” Or, yeah he played professional ball and came back to play college ball, but that was in Alabama!”

Other teams are however playing players that are ruled ineligible by the NCAA and went around the “rules” to get a local judge to sign off on it.

Yep. I said it last night. If this goes south than so would the money.

They were ruled eligible 2 days ago! They were never going to play in this game because they were simply not ready. So why cause a huge distraction over nothing? This is such a dumb post

Dae'Quan Wright Practiced all week and even said from the courthouse steps he was looking forward to suiting up for the upcoming game.

Why tf do you guys care about being the Rosa Parks of college football? I want to win a championship. If we were losing a quarterback or something, ok. We’re not winning without him. But keeping a couple of backup guys in order to go Rosa Parks on college football makes so little sense to me. I feel like some of you have lost your minds. We brought a lot of attention to it. We won in court. We made Sankey look stupid. Now we got rid of all of the risks.

You are unknowingly making my point for me. If these guys were marginal players at best, why even get involved?

Because the SEC was not being fair on the matter. We brought attention to it. The rest is on everyone else. We can just play football now.

LSU is the Rosa Parks of college football. ESPN will borrow Tom Rinaldi to do a special piece on it for CGD this morning.
