When was he QB coach at LSU?

And if he was, why would we want him
to be QB coach now?

And that gives me a lot of pause bout the QB position and the LSU O this season.

I think that was true last year. The smart question was whether or not the "best chance of winning" last year should have outweighed this year.

- 3 quarterbacks that have very little college experience
- Installing a new offense with a new OC
- Roughly half way through spring practice with said new offense, OC, and inexperienced quarterbacks

I would expect the offense to look sloppy and the quarterbacks to look tentative and not their best.

It's spring practice! Quit worrying about how they'll look in the fall. If they're not adequate and we lose 6 games or more, we'll have a complete new regime from the AD down. That's the only way the whole situation gets fixed.

Danny gives us a best handle to win like Ensminger gives us the best chance to win...

They won a bunch of easy games in 2016 and got O the job and he doesn’t understand why he can’t just keep doing that and keep the job.

Relax...It will be Brennan. If Justin McMillan was better than Brennan, Coach O and Coach Canada would have him the backup and simply red shirted Brennan.

However, I think JM will get some playing time this year as a senior, at times when Brennan needs to regain his composure. JM could be used in some situations.

With the last decade of bad qb play. I wouldn't be surprised to see bad QB play. We are just cursed if that happens because Brennan and Narcisse look like the real deal.

He is the most experienced as he has been there the longest. I really don't have a problem with him starting if he wins it, but if he falters during the season they should not hesitate to replace him.

yeah but once they get the WC/spread/Patriots/Eagles/Rams offense installed, we'll be gold

With a power-running game to boot.

Besides White and Williams on defense, who else do you have? Nothing but a lot of potential and question marks.

I heard that same line in 2011 with some different faces.....Do you know who Rashard Lawerence is? Did you not watch freshman Tyler Taylor handle business in his action? Did you not watch Grant Delpit?

Come on man....our young guys on D got great experience last year and balled in key situations.

im not saying its the absolute truth. im concerned over footwork if a qb is (truly) consistently bouncing passes. he doesn't have to be the perfect technician on every play. hell, dondrail pinkins (sp) didn't use the laces. I just don't wanna hear that QB'S 2 yrs into college are having drop back issues.

If that nonsense is true, which I highly doubt, it contradicts the four offensive players they interviewed yesterday before practice, as all of them seemed to be very excited about the new offense and said they couldn't wait for the season to start.

Moreover, I could care less if redshirt junior Justin McMillan wins the QB battle, as long as he is the best QB of the three. He seemed to be very excited by the new offense because he says it is very similar to the offense that he ran in high school in winning two State Championships. He also said his strongest strength is his leadership ability and skills.

You sure do put a lot of stock into what the players say about the team and themselves.

They would obviously never lie or pump sunshine about the program.

no shite. Every spring the players talk about how great everything and everyone is. I’ve never heard a player ever say man we suck. All the qbs are shite and we can’t move the ball. Cowboy is a dumbass for believing player speak.

I don't think things will be bad if it is McMillan. The guy is a winner and if they want to make it through the tough schedule, you might just need a qb to not lose games and turn the ball over.

My sarcasm meter is up, DG and going by your Rant posts, I think this is sarcasm.

We’re I to respond at face value, I’d say the consternation is not over McMillan himself, but the distressing thought that our two blue-chip quarterbacks cannot beat out a journeyman senior who never saw the field and couldn’t beat out Brandon Harris, Danny Etling, etc.
