I'm not very confident. I think we lose by a touchdown.

For those people, it comes down to the same "Les Miles is an idiot" belief. They don't trust the team under his leadership, so they assume the worst.

I'm optimistic, nay, confident that we will win.

I don't mind being roasted for my optimism; I don't mind revisiting and being mocked again if we lose; I don't mind revisiting and mocking if we win.

Here's why:

-Historically, under Les we've played our best coming off of extended breaks (byes and bowls).

-I think the defense plays for pride after getting embarrassed by Auburn.

-We've played with a fire under our asses against them the past three years, so I don't see any reason for that to change.

-A lot of players are hungry to change the current perceptions of the team.

-Alabama's defense isn't as good as people make it out to be... they've been stingy in the RZ (to their credit), but susceptible between the 20s.

-Bama can't run the ball as effectively as they did last year (but still well) and can't pass protect nearly as well.

-Their conventional offense should let our defense do what it does best... line up, disguise and give different looks (Auburn's hurry up halted a lot of this).

-We have a decided special teams advantage (they are 66th in KO coverage, 47th in punt coverage... we're 19th in KO returns, 7th in punt returns).

-Home field advantage.

I'm crazy, I know, but if anyone blows out this game (and I don't think they will), it will be LSU.

i would really like to see JL start just once. Let him get the offense balanced with the run and pass. When we bring him in it's obvious to the whole world that he is going to pass, same with JJ and running. We had no chance at auburn, when JL came in the went after him, when JJ came in the stuffed him the best they could

JUST PLEASE give JL a prayer at least! Don't throw him to the wolves.

That's an interesting statement that makes absolutely no sense.

Well, it might make some sense given that context it was put in...... lol

I think we lose. It won't be embarrassing but maybe 17-14. Our offense just plain fricking sucks.

Really it made perfect sense. It says he is expecting a close game that either LSU or Bama could win. But if the game becomes a blowout, the Tigers will be on the good side of it!

have already conceded defeat. It makes it much easier on me this way, and I can only be pleasantly surprised from here. It's a win-win
this is totally my approach as well. As soon as the bell rung at auburn i have conceded a loss to bama. Really i don't expect it to be that close. They have had 4 teams in a row play them after coming of a bye week, they finally got theirs and we will get thier best shot.

I just got to the point for the sake of my health, not to get emotionally wrenched in the games anymore. It got so bad that i couldn't even watch it. I would have to record it, then pause it, so i could fast foward through the bad parts. It's just to maddening seeing that much dysfunction on offense. I don't understand what the problem is and why they can't get it fixed.

I feel like miles wants people to do what he wants but does not know how to tell them, so what you get is the confusion we all see. Their are alot of bosses that have problems confronting people. I think that might be his problem. What ever it is, i haven't seen anything like it.

Yes, bama will rip our heart out again

I don't hate the man. If expectations weren't raised around here, he'd probably be perfect for the job.

I have very little confidence in Miles and Crowton so I fully expect them to lose. A win would be pretty shocking to me but I guess there's always a chance.

I'm actually fairly confident.

I think we'll win, but I couldn't make a good statistical case for it, especially not with our shitacular offense.

man it's like every week we are waiting for the offense to turn on, and we wait and wait, wait, wait. Never happense.

08 was the defense, 09 and this year was the offense in the crapper. Yeah, he will hire a new coach or whatever, but what is next? last in the nation on special teams? Why can't he just get it right?
