re: Do you or do you not Tip when picking up food to go?

But I will say that Outback at least does not pay minimum wage to to-go employees ($3.50/hr), so your tips were very much needed and appreciated, even if we didn't do too much. a couple bucks was fine with me, though some people do tip 15-20%..why I don't know.
so its our job to make up for outback sucking?
If its a bartender, I tip about 10%. If its a counter person, then a dollar or so. I never go to chains.

Michael Jackson, towards the end of his life, was saying the US was the best beer country because we produce world class beer in a variety of styles.
yes, this is what I think. The best pilsner in CZ is going to be better than the best pilsner in USA, same for belgium style in belgium and bitters in the UK. But the fact is that america is going to be top 2 or 3 in every category, and probably one in several (IPA for instance). The sheer diversity here is absolutely breathtaking.

Have you read Moonlight Mile yet?
no, I don't buy hardbacks and I am like 200 on the waiting list at the library. But I will.
I always read mr lehane's book. Like robert crais too, which I find as similar to lehane in themese and style, although lehane is a far superior at the plot twists.

1. USA - by a fricking mile btw. This wasn't the case 10 years ago, but in the last 10 years the craft brew movement has rocked the us. Almost every other country has one type of beer they do well, we do every type well.

really, that is the rational thing to do. Its a good flick, better book.

if you read the series of books, you would realize they had a really bad relationship that wasn't meant to last. Not surprising at all.
I highly recommend all of dennis lehane's books. they are excellent.
re: Google closing in on their biggest acquisition yet...Groupon

I think it depends on the city. Sometimes the deals Ihear my friends getting in san fran are awesome.
I almost bought rock climbing lessons but you could only do it on Tuesdays before noon or some shite like that.
then a restaurant close by came up that we frequent......great deal $35 for $20 but you could only use M-Th, not for lunch and had to spend over $50....and no alcohol. WTF?

I had never heard of this site.
i joined when they added Denver. I have bought zero deals, usually they are pretty lame or have so manycaveats they aren't worth i.

can you imagine the amount of local ads that google can get themselves into? grand slam acquisition IMO.
Yes, but the sales model is going to be interesting. Small businesses aren't usually tech savvy, Groupon might help with that b.c they obviously have a sales model that reaches very small businesses just based on what cross my email with denver groupons.

its a good buy. the issue I think is the barriers to entry for competitors is very low. Although Google has great channels to deliver the "deals" to it.
Nice tie up IMHO, although $6B seems pretty steep purchase price

frick spain, Italy! Or the UK! Or japan.
The meantime between failures and bailouts of the eurozone is going to decrease until it all comes tumbling down.
Auerbach did a great piece today about germany and their banks.

Cotton is 7pm, Friday January 7th. Only college bowl game that day, and the last big bowl game bfore the BCS Championship Game.
I would be very happy with this. I hate those early kick offs.

Very subjective.

re: ? about buying a TV
Posted by Monkey on 11/29/10 at 2:58 pm
you can buy a tv online and then find someone local to install it, that is what my parents did. they were very pleased but end spending way too much on the install (like $600). It looks absolutely great and is an amazing layout for a tv but I couldn't believe they spent that much to have their tv and surround installed

I'd be really surprised if it wasn't worth it to move with a 25% increase in pay.
I wouldn't be surprised, although it depends on where in texass and where in california. Taxes are a lot higher in california, property and state income, not to mention gas, auto insurance and general cost of living.
of course, california is a much nicer place to live.

Ah see, that's not an issue for me because I'm hyper-connected. This girl took some pictures a few weeks back where I am clearly Lil-Jon-Outta-Your-Mind hammered. Facebook to email, email to the phone, phone always in hand. They were probably up for no more than 3 minutes before I got her to take them down.
me too BUT, I also travel for work, take vacations, etc. And some of my friends have no taste. Its enough of a recipe for disaster that I keep my boss from seeing my wall.

the problem I have is other people posting pictures of me, and then tagging me in them.
My work is pretty laid back but someone snapped a picture of me mooning someone and tagged me in and posted it on my page. Took melike a day to find out since we were camping at the time.
