The question to me then, is do we stick with the Glenn/Nola/Eades order for the Super or do we swap Glenn and Nola? It would give Nola a day less rest.

If it's not Oklahoma in the SR, you can stick with Glenn/Nola/Eades.

Nola's gotta start game 1. Then Glenn. Then Hail Mary Eades.

No, you don't have to start Nola in the first game if you play a team with average pitching across the board. I'd be surprised in Mainieri didn't stick with Glenn/Nola/Eades against VA Tech. The Hokies just have an average staff across the board.

I have a feeling Nola is starting game 1 of a super regional, regardless of the opponent

What about the Cune. Cube needs to start the first game. We will need him at the World Series at some point. The extra work will pay dividends down the road.

He'll get plenty of bullpen work from here on out

You set the tone, by pitching your ace. Its really not even a question.

Cune needs live action in my opinion he is the wild if we have to go through the losers bracket in Omaha

It actually is a question whether you disagree with one of the answers or not. Glenn has given up no more than one earned run in each of his last five starts. For example, it's not taking much of a risk if you don't see much of a difference between the first two pitchers for a given opponent.

I loathe the regional and super regional pitching threads every season. It's obvious what we'll do but people still come up with crazy shite.

I was thinking we should actually go with a backwards staff against Jackson St. Start Cotton for an inning, then go with Bourgeois, follow up with Rumbelow. Bring Fury in for 2 outs and then Berry in for 1 out. And then have Glenn throw the last 5 innings.

It'll work guys, I swear.

The Nola discussion is about the Super Regionals.

My argument for Eades in game 1 is this. He's had to work through many jams and semi-big innings lately. JState can't have 9 hitters. Thus, Eades gets a fairly easy start, builds some confidence, and avoids any big jams/innings. Nola in marble. Shouldn't have a problem with either ULL or SMSU. Now you're sitting pretty with Glenn against a team that has to win two and is obviously in a pitching deficit. Unless one of them shits the bed, regional over. Hit reset for the Supers.

I could easily make an argument against him:
1) 2pm warm weather game, he seems to struggle in the heat
2) Less rest than if he pitches Sunday
3) Jackson St is good on the base paths, Eades doesn't exactly hold runners well

Then again, I see the positives too, their are positives and negatives to every pitching decision

Maneri already said nola is starting game 2!!!

Jackson state has an RPI of 112!!

To give you perspective Tulane is has an RPI of 90

Hunter Newman can easily handle them!

That would leave Cody glen and Eades for Sunday .

I'm obviously talking about the regional.
In the Super start Eades on Friday night Nola Saturday and Codey Glen if needed Sunday .

I think all of this could work against him and LSU still wins 13-5
