I guess I’m getting old bc I’m just happy to watch all the games. It wasn’t long ago that we couldn’t watch shite on tv

In terms of the quality of the commentary, they were bad, Stevo, and I only had the volume on for the last few innings. For example, the one guy kept pronouncing Frey's name as though he were Nordic (FRAY). Also called a hit to right field a hit to left as it was happening.
But they weren't the worst I've ever heard. They were mostly amateurish but they were the Lions broadcasters and were enthusiastic about their team as well as complimentary of LSU so it's hard to be upset with them. It's certainly not anything I'd get your nickers in a twist about like OP.

That is the worst college baseball field i think I’ve ever seen. On any level!!!! Did they get a deal on turf everything??? Disgusting!!!!

It wasn't actually that bad. Stop being a diva. 20 years ago you'd be lucky if a game outside of Omaha or the SEC was televised. Nowadays small schools like SLU have a legit broadcast

I had my doubts about whether they were SLU or independent. They had to wait to see the jersey number on the SLU closer to figure out who he was. They didn't know who all the players were.

Give them a break. They did fine. They support their team and had LSU on the rope. They were really excited about the prospect of a win and handled the late defeat rather well I thought.

Agree with your points. Still, they were SLU guys and I'm generally a fan of all Louisiana college teams because they represent the great talent our high school teams produce. Thought they were fine all things considered.

They weren’t that bad. They were complimentary of both schools and very enthusiastic. They made some mistakes, mispronunciations, etc. but it did not detract at all from my enjoyment of the game.

Game thread had as many posts bitching about announcers, cameras and announcers than actual baseball. Also worse when the game isn’t going well. Makes this place pretty miserable.

Maybe just calm down a little bit, It’s not the end of the world for LSU to travel a little bit road to play a road game against an instate team. We all know the SLU broadcast isn’t going to be on the same level as LSU.
