Skenes and White both donated a big chunk of their NIL money to charity.

we’re just a better program.

Were they more expensive than their second string quarterback?

LSU has double the NC since 1980 than any school in America. We don’t need to pay players.

Reminds me a little bit of when they went to the hot bats. LSU took advantage of the opportunity NCAA provided. Good on us! Same thing with NIL. LSU making the most of the system. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Good for us. With that said, NIL and the transfer portal as set up now will destroy college athletics. Needs more regulation.

seen a lot of money truck comments from Horns fans about last years progrum. Thoughts?
You would assume UT should have enough to compete in transfer portal being the "amazing program" they are. At what point do they accept that LSU is the best college baseball program.

It amazes me that A&M doesn't pay their baseball players considering what they spend on football.

Don’t know how we got Skenes, but Tommy White tells the story about going out then Sunday morning meeting with CJJ he just blurts out “I’m coming to LSU” before any details were discussed.

Paying players is legal now.
exactly

Why even give them the slightest joy by pretending to care about that “gotcha”. Doesn’t mean shite if they transferred here and got paid, everyone in the portal who transfers anywhere is getting paid.

Tell those old dudes it’s not the gotcha they thought it was anymore. They just got their asses handed to them fair and square.

LSU is on a different level in baseball. LSU has been the leader to fan engagement and funding for decades and has Marucci in town. College baseball will have to turn a profit for most teams before other programs start investing enough to compete with LSU year in and year out.

They know their baseball program is going to take a huge step back going into the sec.

No more soft arse big 12 schedule playing teams like Baylor and Kansas. They’re gonna be playing top tier teams on a weekly basis, and they’re worried about it.

It's college baseball. Why in the hell would you go all out to win at something less than 5% of the sports fans in the country GIVES A FLUCK ABOUT??? That's what Vanderbilt does because they can't win anything in the two sports that matter.

Resources need to be poured into football and men's basketball, with the token support given to the little girls sports to keep the screaming orange hairs blocking the roads at bay.

Why not have each program at each college support itself? I bet there are under ten college baseball programs operating in the black, and the same for lesbo hoops. Why should football and men's basketball foot the bill for everyone else?

If Texas isn't outbidding LSU for BASEBALL PLAYERS, it means they've got their athletic priorities in correct order.
