It is 3 days. It’s the days between starts.

So let me try to explain it to you in baseball terms. Skenes pitched Thursday. If he pitched again Friday, how many days rest would that be? In baseball terms, that would be 0 days of rest. Why? Because the # of days he did not pitch between the two starts was 0. So 0 days rest.

So now that you have this information, how many days rest if he had pitched Saturday? 1, that's right.

And if he had pitched today? 2, very good.

So if he pitches tomorrow? 3! Yes, excellent job, if Skenes pitches tomorrow he will be going on 3 days rest.

Well done, now you post the right numbers when you start a thread on tRant

Really this is a “budgeting” vs “penny pinching” argument.

It’s really a semantics thing. To make it simple, his rest will be half as long as he typically got between starts this year. His rest was 2 days shorter before his last start. Doing something like that in b2b starts is not easy for anyone, even Paul Skenes

I also I just needed an argument to take my mind off the game and this seemed like the stupidest one I could get into

So do yall think since it is technically 3 days he will start? And if so how far? Pretty sure it will be all hands on deck with him starting. I think 6 at minimum and Floyd comes in.

Ok man. You win. But then it was also 5 days rest between Tennessee and WF instead of 4, which STILL means he is going on one day less than he did last time.

Dumbass.

Cool man. You’re so tough trying to fight random people on the internet, I’m sure you’re a real badass IRL “bruh” and not some wife beater wearing fat douche who’s never played sports but thinks he’s hard because he got in 3 fights in high school against other people who don’t know how to fight

You don't think he can throw tomorrow? This is the national championship. So you think we trot out the same old shite we did today?

You really have no idea who I am lmao. Instead of being Billy bad arse behind the keyboard think first about who you talking shite to especially when the message board is a more local board. Because if that person does find out who you are then I am pretty sure your bitch card will show then

No he’s not. Pitcher rest days don’t count the previous day or the scheduled game as rest days. He pitched Thursday and will pitch Monday. His rest is Friday Saturday Sunday 3 days

Now let everyone know you’re a bandwagon baseball fan that is not in tune to the game

Who are you then? If you can actually fight I’ll know you. Where do you train at?

I don't know baseball jargon, but it's technically 4 days. Thursday he was taken out vs Wake around 8:30 PMish. He would start Monday around 6 PMish. That's 93 hours or 4 days. Technically

From about 8:30 pm when got off the mound on Thursday night until before he got to sleep, those hours of rest are not doing much for his recovery. When he wakes up tomorrow morning and starts preparing to pitch, again those hours are not doing anything for his recovery
Hope this helps

Nah I watch LSU. I am a football fan first and foremost followed by basketball. I actually played football for LSU. Just don't really watch baseball. It is really boring to me, but it's LSU so.

No shite. When you realize you are arguing with an idiot, it's best to just move on.
