Can we give him time to recruit at least one full class in normal circumstances and get them in the building?

I hear you, but his players have nothing to do with not deferring, passing up points, not fixing special teams coverage, and going for it in 4th and 10 on their own side of the ball.

It was a bad game from a coaching perspective.

Forgot also not playing one the best players on the team in Perkins.

There were four sentences in the quote. Pick one and start there. Surely you're smart enough to do that.

I guess Brennan was not healthy enough to compete? No way to know, but he is way ahead of JD5 in deciphering a defense and putting the ball on the money. JD5 has 30+ starts and is performing poorly. How much more time does the man need? I really am getting an eery CLM vibe about this struggling offense.

If you’re doing that then look at wr play and look at separation those receivers got then vs now. It’s so many different scenarios that make JD better for this system. Play calling is different. Route running is different.

Refresher course - we had one starter (Marshall) and one with some experience (Racey). Gilbert and Kayshon were true Fr. Jaray had played sparingly.

We have a better WR corps now than then. It's not OL, WRs, etc.

Brennan looked smooth. I’d give anything for him to be here right now

JD and Denbrock have me missing Peetz and Max Johnson. The feeling is mutual, baw.

Second year with the same basic offensive scheme, and an O-line that allowed seemingly more protection than this current O-line provides—BTW he was still sacked 9 times in the 3 games.

QBing this team this year was not in his best interest health wise or NFL-aspiration wise. If he’s talented enough he can dip his toes in the NFL waters.

Y’all are assuming MB wants to play football

Maybe the guy came to the realization that he wasn’t going to play pro or didn’t want to play pro ball. If you don’t love football anymore it’s hard to compete at that level. You have to eat, sleep, and breath it to be a QB in the SEC or pros.

You may be right. IDK the real answer.

It may have been his health, lack of interest, regressed from 2Ys off, CBK wasn't up front, or some combination thereof.

But what he displayed in his last game action was >>>> than anything we've seen through six games.

"This board has given Brennan way too much credit"
He wouldn't have survived in this offense, behind this OL. O line was even worse when Brennan played and still threw for 300 plus and put points on the board. Please!! Go look at the man's highlights and tell me if you have seen Daniel's make any of those throws or even tried. That was only his first 3 games playing as a starter. Imagine if he had more games under him.

"You can’t honestly think that MB would be better after seeing how this line plays. JD is there bc he can make plays with his feet".
Please go back and look at his highlights and throws as well as that horrible OL he did it with and stop making stupid comments when the film says it all!!

Yeah!go look at the receivers that weren't open and still scored touchdowns!! Open or not he atleast gave them a chance to make plays. Many times he threw the ball before the receiver even finished their route and got it to them. That's the big difference!!!

I do believe we would be undefeated or atleast scored points with Tennessee if Brennan was our QB. BK really messed that up!!!

While it’s true Brennan would make throws Daniels cannot or will not make, Brennan would be cannon fodder for sacks in the pocket behind a hodgepodged offensive line. Pros and cons to both I suppose

You think the '20 OL three games in was that much better than '22?

lulz

He played for 6 years, and then the days before our mobile QB was named the starter, that convinced him that he didnt have the heart for it anymore

Do you know that Daniels is among the nation's leaders in getting sacked? He is skinnier than Brennan and risks more hits with his runs, which have been more or less in check of late.

What most of y’all are overlooking is that Brennan today is most likely not near the player he was then. He suffered 2 straight season ending injuries, one of which could have been career ending. Kelly talked him into staying so he obviously wanted to give him a chance. Everything logical points to him being physically diminished and no longer that guy but the rant has to always build up the guy or guys who aren’t playing or aren’t available.
