BR should be able to handle the rain that is projected without too much flooding.

Aside from ESPN wanting a neutral site, parking at LSU would be hell with all the soggy fields. BR is not a good option at all right now.

^Thanks for helping our special forum member out.^

I don't know how he read what I wrote and then wrote what he wrote.

Obviously they are thinking of larger cities that have sufficient hotel accommodations and a free stadium Saturday night that isn't getting used on Sunday. Orlando and Nashville appear to be pressing hard. The list of plausible cities probably shortens significantly when you start to add in the multiple factors, but I certainly didn't write no other city. There are likely several, thought NOLA probably guarantees the best gate - noting that the LSU allotment of tix on LSUTix are completely bought up now, which occurred since the storm hit. Most all of these recent ticket holders likely expecting their ticket to convert to a dome seat of similar location.

Dallas Cotton Bowl makes most sense...stock concessions with water and peanuts, and make it a day game.

Dallas

Hard to see this game going to Dallas. It is the site of a tremendous amount of evacuees and the airport is currently taking in all of the re-routes from Houston.

New Orleans or somewhere further east makes the most sense.

At last check Dallas is getting 5,000 evacuees.

It's going to be New Orleans if possible. That's why they are waiting.

If New Orleans is supposed to get too much rain, then they'll play it somewhere else.

Game should be in NOLA. That would be best for all parties involved. Still a neutral site as well.

91 is the high for Dallas on Saturday. Sounds like a blast.

Just listening to local radio the vibe seems to be it won't be in New Orleans even though it has been offered. I am thinking Dallas or Orlando. Nashville makes sense but the weather will be passing through there on Saturday. Hey Tiny one been awhile

I'm hoping for Dallas, considering I was planning on driving to the game in Houston from Austin. I'm definitely NOT driving to New Orleans, especially since the roads are impassable along the way.

It's not going to be in Texas.

I still think NOLA is the favorite with ATL and Nashville close

What about Legion field in Birmingham?

you may be joking, but just in case UAB is playing its first game in three years. Saturday afternoon game vs Alabama A&M.

Legion Field is definitely out of the question for a night game.

From talking to a few people involved with the Superdome I can tell you they want the game in the dome but Mitch's pump incompetence is scaring the hell out of ESPN. They don't want to look like idiots if the allow NOLA to have the game and then it floods too.

i don't blame espn on that. it would be dumb to end up trading one flood zone for another.
