Who are the most likely prospects out there for our next basketball coach?
Posted on 3/12/22 at 3:36 pm to TigerBR1111
Jay Wright
Brad Stevens
Scott Drew
Literally no "whales" are going to come to a school where basketball is the 3rd sport when they are coaching or have positions at legendary institutions like Nova, Celtics, Baylor somewhat at least the past 12 years

Scott Drew gets the first call

None of those are coming but there are a couple of possible big names out there.
Slick Rick- might not be the best optics but if he’s coaching what can the NCAA really bitch about if we hire him. Vital would cream his pants
Fred Hoiberg- Nebraska paid him a lot but if we’re talking whale money it might be possible

With looming sanctions and political pressure, your average basketball fan will not recognize the name we hire.

Great coach but he’s in a good spot, dunno if he leaves

Nebraska is dogshit. He sucked in Chicago too. He’s past it

Not sure, basketball penalties lately have been to the specific person with the program usually getting to skate. Look at Louisville and Auburn. If Wade was funneling money through his wife’s account the program can distance itself from most of the penalties and we’re a power 5 program, networks aren’t gonna like having us irrelevant

No chance in hell they would hire Pitino. Hoidberg sucks

He likes proven winners, i.e. some older guy past his prime but has had some success in the distant past. May even be sone one he lures out of retirement, lol.

You don’t fire a cheat, then go out and hire another cheat.
LSU isn't willing to pay what Tilman Fertitta is willing to pony up

It's going to be Tony Bennett

Tony Bennett
Billy Donovan
Either would be a huge catch.

Rick Pitino or Kelvin Sampson or even John Calipari and give the NCAA a Giant Middle Finger.

You better be prepared for a young FCS asst coach...maybe even a good HS coach! LOL! We done, will not see a NCAA tournament invite for 10 years, if we are lucky.

Woodward is a fraud. Is it not obvious by now?
