Football is king. 2007 and 2019 were my favorite seasons which had me most invested in the championships. Guess I was just too young to be very invested in 2003 but I do remember it.

2007 was the most fun I’ve ever had watching a college football season and 2019 was the most fun I’ve ever had watching LSU. 2019 gets the nod for me though since I was at that one and got to see that star studded team win a championship in person.

Nothing will ever replace the feeling of 2003. Thought we would never get there and we did it. Then later proved we were there to stay.

I remember walking (the crowd was more flowing) through the French Quarter, and there was an Oklahome fan standing behind a post so that as the crowd passed he was taunting the LSU fans who were celebrating right after the game.

He told me, “You guys will never win another one.” Oklahoma has not won one since, and we’ve won two more. That’s why beating the snot out of them in 2020 was so satisfying to me.

It's really understated how good those Clemson and OSU teams were.

And Alabama. That 2019 team defeated two national championship caliber teams.

2003 because I was worried I would never see one at LSU.

2019- greatest year of my life. Got to go to the Masters. Married the love of my life. Honeymoon cruise was phenom. Last year on earth with my Ol man. Tigers were GOAT. Saw them with my wife at Vandy. (Yes, Vandy) I told her there was something different about that team. They were like a video game. How do you defend? You can’t blitz. Can’t sell out to stop the run, and you sure as hell can’t double cover. Living in Ga since ‘83 and that was my first SECCG. Also got to go to the Sooner trail of tears. Undefeated/sec champs/national champs and all the accompanying accolades.

This is like picking your favorite child.

Actually, it's harder than that.

2019 without question, 2003 was a close second but after the decade of terrible offense and a big fat egg in the National Title on 1/9/12, 2019 just erased all of that.

2019 football- After the win at Texas I knew no one could stop or beat this team. Never went a season before not worried to death we were going to lose a game here or there. Burrow was a winner, he was not going to let this team lose! What a season it was! That being said, enjoyed the other football & baseball championships tremendously as well. And for the record, STILL on Cloud 9 over the recent baseball championship!!

After y'all beat us I said there's nobody beating LSU. That team was so nasty. Burrow was so lethal. And had two of the best receivers in history. I hate the way the game ended but you have to give credit where it's due. That team was something else and I don't think we see anything like it for quite some time.

28-2.

Bouncing back from that game to win the Natty that year -- by blasting Bama -- was what finally taught me to never pay attention to yesterday's game in baseball.

That came in particularly handy this season . . .

Mine has to be 2003. Never thought I'd ever see LSU get a shot at football, and for it to be in the Dome was incredible. Felt like I was walking on clouds the whole time.

I knew a bunch of people (LSU grads) who went to New Orleans without a ticket to the game, just to drive by beforehand for the spectacle, and the chance to be out in the French Quarter if we won.

The others; 2007 and 2019 were great, but didn't feel like a fairytale; 2003 did. Both times, once we got there, I felt like we were expected to win, and it would be a big disappointment (like 2011) if we didn't. But in 2003, those guys were already heroes just for making it there.

Baseball- none hold a candle to football in terms of scope. I was happy we won in baseball, very happy. Morris' HR was great, I remember where I was when he hit it. But it just doesn't compare. Football was more like a spiritual experience.

Women's basketball... I was, like, well good for them . I guess I would feel the same about winning Golf or Tennis (I think we did win those), or Gymnastics. It's nice the team we fielded was the one that won, but it doesn't move the needle.
And re the women's game- first, with South Carolina being upset, I felt like we ducked the real team and backed into it. We were clearly one of the 3-4 teams in contention for being #2; but SC was better. But they lost, so oh well.
And then all the social media drama- I abhor that angle of modern sports. I want to watch the game, I don't care if someone drops their drawers and takes a dump afterwards. If I have 'a side' to root for, like LSU playing, I really don't care what our team does, as long as they win the event.

The night after the Gay turds beat us 24-4, I referenced that 28-2 score here and asked what would people remember, 24-4 or the team that won the game that mattered. I think we found out.

I think it would be 1991. I was born in 1969 and lived through the 70s and 80s in my formative years. That was the breakthrough title, showing it was possible at LSU. It was huge.

OU’s arse raping at the hands of KSU took some of the luster off of the 2003 seasons NC game. 2019 season NC Game and 1996 cws game are tied for me.

This is my 2nd favorite behind 2019… That being said 2003 was a very very important national championship

The magnitude of this game was insane looking back… it really put us on the map…

It really seems like it helped change LSU culture for the best.

Not a big Saban guy but damn I’m glad he came here and helped turn things around some where they are today

LSU/Oklahoma semifinal. It was like playing Madden on rookie mode after owning the game for a year.
