Sorry the emoji that I used created 2 question marks that were totally unintended. That’s a great article.

He is so special. I just wish he were on a team where it mattered.

Hopefully, he gets traded somewhere good soon.

Paul is a great ambassador for the game. Humble and a good guy. His issue will be staying healthy. If he can do that he’ll have a special career.

He was already on a team that mattered. You can’t wish for the same thing twice.

he’s in the second best situation in my opinion

Best would be pitching for the cubs

second best is pitching for a team that can’t beat the cubs but he can be individually excellent

Sad seeing Jose Fernandez's name in some of those stats. He was on track to be one of the greatest.

He’s working his way into being one of the goats.

No historical issue exists to believe he is more likely to be hurt any more or less than any other player.

It will certainly be interesting as he gets closer to the end of his rookie contract. NO WAY Pitt can afford to keep him, not with the NY teams, Dodgers, Cubs, Phils, and others ready to throw hundreds of millions at him.

PS seems like a quiet, non-assuming guy. It will be interesting to see where he wants to play.

He is a unicorn. Dude has been shoving since he got to the majors. Its unfortunate that he literally cannot get run support most of his starts. There is zero reason a player that has below a 2.0 era should have a losing record. A 1.88 era should easily have him with 9-11 wins. But not being able to get run support has led to him being 4-6 which is criminal.

Really hope the Pirates can either lure some talented players or get lucky in the draft to build around him. Or they do him a service and actually invest $ in building around him because they will not be letting him go for at least 5 more years and it would be criminal to see him waste away in Pitt.
