Given that Steele was here for a season and seems Les treated him pretty fairly given a very average defense, i would be pretty pissed to know he would help Clemson.
He was at Clemson longer than he was at LSU...

This is exactly what Clemson wants. They pride themselves on red zone defense
IDK, I think they'd rather not have us move it at will between the 20s lol... But I get ur point.

And they had the personnel for a 3 man front. Clemson doesn’t

and above average LB core along with a good back end.
Auburn D was legit, they just couldn't get it going on Offense. Really tough break for them this year.

Steele didn’t slow us down. We bogged down twice on the doorstep

It doesn't embarrass you to post shite like this?
LSU didn't just 'bog down', they were stopped - twice - by Kevin Steele's Auburn defense.

I don't trust Herbstreit, his twin boys are on Clempson's team you know.

If Curry had been in on those short yardage plays i believe we get those Td's/first downs . That man hits the hole at 100 mph . if i need a yard or 2 that guy should be in the game.

Slowing down...lol
Look at the drive chart from the game...
473 yards with 13:29 left in the game. Sat on the ball after that.
Miss. St. did a better job of defense than any other opponent (413 yards allowed and forced 3 turnovers)

I'm not sure we ran it 3 times in a row at the goal line since that second stall in the Auburn game, and I'm not sure we would have done it there if we were indoors.
The first redzone fail included Chase with a PBU against a wide open Marshall in the back of the end zone, and then a slip just before getting the first down on the next play.
Can't remember the other stall, but a missed FG, missed XP, and the aforementioned 11 points missed, and we're looking at 38-20.
Our offense has evolved greatly since game 8 of the season.

We gave them garbage at the end, however Auburn was able to break 2 long runs earlier in the game.

We left 17 points on the field that day

The bogging down in the red zone was Ensminger(surely not Brady) getting inside the 3 yard line and assuming, not unreasonably, that he could run CEH or Burrow up the middle and score.
We couldn’t against that DLine.
No option, no RPO, no running wide(field slippery?) and no passes not to mention the great red zone rub pass routes we saw most of the year.
First and goal inside the 5 and not scoring was on our play calling, not Steele’s great scheme.
LSU never went that conservative in the red zone again the rest of the year.

The numbers show that we should have beat them by about 17 maybe more. If Stingley does not fumble the game would not have looked remotely close

What's craziest to me is LSU's offense is better today than they were in November. They are so locked in.
Listening to Full Ride right now and hear Amal Shah, VSIN, say LSU's defense can't stop the run very well. Guys who claim "expert" because they read stats are the worst. LSU's defense is about to shock the nation and outplay Clemson's defense!

Like Steele himself said, you can’t show him the same look twice, the 3-7-1 is over, dead. We can only hope Clemson tries to go back to that well.
That’s not what Steele meant. He wasn’t talking about repeating game plans; he was talking about within a game, you have to show LSU different things all game long. The 3-7-1 that Steele used could definitely be used 3 or 4 plays by Clemson.

The one that is MOST valuable against CU will be CEH.
The one who is most valuable against EVERYONE is Chase. LSU gets so many big plays off of Chase. Watch how many big completions to other receivers, or CEH, are behind heavy coverage of Chase. If we do not have Chase it radically changes the game. That is not true of any other offensive player, except Burrow.

Exactly and this is what Clemson fans don’t understand. This offense isn’t anything they’ve seen or a college defense can stop easily. This offense is built to confuse a pro defense with guys who’ve played together for years and are mature. Not to mention DC’s in the pro level that know their roster in and out. Pro DC’s that have seen everything thrown at them.
College defenses are much easier to scheme simply because of their maturity level and time with each other as well as talent level. When you mix in pro level talent and a pro scheme and guys who have worked their tales off to perfect it, you then see what you see in this LSU offense. This wasn’t an accident. We didn’t get lucky. We’ve fought bad calls, teams throwing everything at us, teams playing LSU as if we’re their championship game and we’ve still blown them away. The Bama game was 33-13 at one point. A kick return for TD and 2 long passes over our freshman made this thing closer than it really was. One throw wasn’t even his fault as he was looking to the sidelines when the play started.
These things won’t happen again. Plus Clemson just doesn’t have WRs who can blow past our CB’s. Our CB’s and DB’s play the big physical WR’s better imo. Look at Auburn, Texas and A&M. It wasn’t the big WR’s that LSU has an issue with against Texas. It was the shorter more agile guy who was built like a RB and would be matched on a LB or Safety. That’s who gave us fits. Aranda has seemed to get a handle on our personnel at this stage of the season. He now knows who can do what and which personnel he needs to cover certain players in certain offenses. Clemson has a great offense so we’ll see who can stop who.

Last year’s Clemson DL may have given us some fits, we are fortunate they’ve moved on to the NFL. Our offense should have a banner day and the question isn’t whether Clemson D can stop it but whether Clemson O can keep up.
this is what im really looking forward to seeing... and it will certainly decide the game... if Aranda and the Defense is on like they have been the last 4-5 games this thing could get every bit as ugly as the georgia game...

Auburn had amazing front 3. No one else can play that D.
